I'm surprised how many people didn't recognize Qui-Gon in episode 2. I knew it instantly. Qui-Gon was Dooku's padawan, and Qui-Gon was very special to Dooku, he was the sole thing that kept Dooku in the light. Since this was Dooku of the past it was obvious Qui-Gon was the man with him.

Episode 5 hits differently when you rewatch the last episode of the clone wars and see her implement that training, especially when she escapes into the celing on the bridge.

This'll be your introduction to the Inquisitors, Jedi turned to the dark side and Jedi hunters who work with Vader to kill survivors of Order 66. You'll become more familiar with them watching shows and playing games set in this era (19BBY-0BBY/in between Episodes III and IV). You'd probably enjoy Knights of the Old Republic, The Old Republic, Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor if you're looking for games to explore the Star Wars galaxy.

@@SofaandChill They are basically Darth Vader's dogs. They're force sensitive warriors and most of them used to be Jedi. After order 66 the jedi who survived and turned to the dark side became inquisitors. They are Jedi hunters. It's a team the Empire created to kill any remaining Jedi that might have survived the war.

36:08 Ashla was in the early scripts of Star Wars around 1974. Originally, the light side of the Force was called Ashla (and the dark side was called Bogan). Since then the name was used a number of times: - a Togruta youngling in Attack of The Clones is called Ashla (they gave her the name in retrospect in order to not be mistaken her as a younger Ahsoka; also, originally Ahsoka was going to be named Ashla, just to make it more confusing :D ) - the planet Tython has its two moons called Ashla and Bogan - and apparently in Rebels, they actually made it so that in some cultures the Force and the light side are indeed referred to as Ashla.

The last episode is actually a condensed version of the novel Ahsoka by E.K Johnston, it’s one of my favorite Star Wars books and the audiobook was record by Ashley Eckstein too!

I've read that book at least half a dozen times and I still wish they made it into a longer episode. They made 6th brother here look even more humiliating then in the book. At least in the book, his death was unique

@@DarthRevan8976 I agree I think it would’ve benefited from the episode being a bit longer (or at the very least naming the side characters, especially the girl who’s essentially Kaden) but overall I was pleased with this version of it.

and the audio version by Ashley is amazing. I just would have loved to see animated the crystal "whitening" process, I think it would have been so meaningful. But I guess it wouldn't fit the episode's length.

What you saw at the end was an Imperial Inquisitor. I know you've started Rebels by now so you've seen the Grand Inquisitor, but there are actually WAY WAY more than just one

The Dark sider in the last short probably deflated after having his head chipped off due to being an alien species of some kind. Sith and other Dark side beings do not disappear at death like Yoda and Obi-Wan did in the original trilogy. They do not have the capability to do so because of the nature of the dark side of the Force.

The figure that Ahsoka Tano fought in the final segment of "Tales of the Jedi" was an Inquisitor, ex-Jedi corrupted to the Dark Side who now serve as expendable agents of the Empire hunting down all non-Imperial force users who somehow survived Order 66, all of whom received training from Darth Vader. They are not as powerful as a Sith Lord or even darksiders such as Asajj Ventress and Savage Oppress from "The Clone Wars" era, but they are still capable of defeating less powerful Jedi. You will see them appear in other Star Wars series set between the Prequel and Original trilogies.

Ashla was actually the original name Dave Filoni gave to the character that became Ahsoka. At the time, Filoni's plan for TCW was to follow a ragtag team of misfits, aboard a small ship, which included a gungan warrior, Ashla and her Jedi master, a female Twi'lek (Aayla Secura's species) who also would have been the ship's captain/acepilot, and her smuggler boyfriend. The plan was scrapped because Lucas wanted to focus on the prequel-trilogy characters, but liked Ashla, and decided to make her Anakin's apprentice. She was renamed to Ahsoka because there was already another Togruta girl by that name in Attack of the Clones (in the scene where Obi-Wan asked Yoda's and the youngling's advice on finding Kamino), and that girl was too young to be the same character. Ashla was also a name some Extended Universe sources gave to the Light side of the Force.

Exactly this. The Ashla is the light side and the Bogan is the dark. It was introduced in old legends books but was made canon in Rebels. Same could be said for the Inquisitorius. It was one of the anthology books, either Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina or Tales of the Bounty Hunters where they introduced an Inquisitor. The title and format of this mini series is an obvious homage to those books

@@0LadyV0 No, they're not. Canon comes only from one source, and that's George Lucas. Canon means truth, and in art only the work of the original creator is truth. In the case of Star Wars, that means Ep 1-6 and TCW, because those are the ones Lucas personally worked on. Everything else, whether Legends EU, or Disney Wars, is licensed fanfiction. Disney labeled their continuity "Canon" to make it easy to distinguish from the old continuity of the EU, but they can't actually dictate what SW canon is, just like Warner Bros, or Amazon can't dictate what LOTR canon is. So just because Filoni brought the EU names Asha and Bogan for the Light and Dark sides, into the Disney continuity, doesn't make them canon.

The training Anakin puts Ahsoka through always makes me think he either has glimpses left from what he saw at Mortis, or had a force vision after it where he saw ahsoka surrounded by the clones at the bridge of the cruiser...

Just in case you didn't know: Anakin and Ahsoka first met during the battle of Christophsis in the Star Wars the Clone Wars movie from 2008 (the film which started the series)

The Fall of Dooku is demonstrative of the maxim that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Dooku was on the Jedi Council for many years, but could never sway the Jedi to look at justice for its own sake, rather than simply doing what the corrupt Senate told them. The episode with Mace and Dooku is an example of that conflict. By The Phantom Menace Dooku had actually been out of the Jedi Order for 10 years and had been ruling his planet of Serenno as Count. He left after the Republic refused to intervene in yet another conflict where innocent people were being killed. Dooku however, did return to the Temple every so often as an honored guest and that is why it appeared like he was still with the Jedi in TPM. But it is very true, Dooku very much loved both his Padawans, Rael Aveross and Qui Gon Jin, like they were his sons. The loss of Qui Gon was very hard on him. One notes, he was very angry with Sidious and Yaddle's intervention possibly interrupted a full on violent argument between the two. It should be noted that at this point, Sidious and Dooku were roughly equal in power according to Sidious' master Darth Plagueis. Yaddle and Dooku could have taken Sidious... In the intervening ten years, Dooku had been recruited by the Sith, both Plagueis and Sidious, to help them. Dooku was already very well known to the Senate and the Galaxy at large by TPM.

...and comes from a very early draft of the original movie in which the "light side" of the Force was the "Ashla" Force, while the Dark Side was The "Bogan" Force.

Ahsoka`s name in part 6, Ashla, is actually the name of one of the moons of Tython (A planet the Jedi settled on and the place where the Mandalorian took Grogu to sit on the stone to find a Jedi to train him) the other moon was Bogan. The Ashla and the Bogan represent the light- Ashland and the dark- Bogan

Dooku wanted only to help the galaxy, but, by turning to the Dark Side to do it, he ended up being responsible for far worse things than what the likes of that senator did.

Out of all these episodes, Dooku's are my favourite, It shows he isnt evil. He's misguided. He's lost, much like Anakin. He had good intentions and it slowly turned him and twisted his thoughts.

Ashla. They kind of did it for Ashley Echstein but also for Ashla. If you go back to Attack of the Clones when Obi Wan gets humiliated in front of a bunch of kids, one of the younglings is a Tortuga like Ahsoka and Shaak Ti. That kids name is Ashla. It's a bit of tribute to something that never really had light shown

So far as open-world Star Wars games go, probably the closest you're going to get right now would be Star Wars: The Old Republic. It's on open-world mmo rpg, with 8 unique class story lines and 4 expansion stories. The expansions come free with one month of membership, which is $15 USD, and after that one month, you can play all the content for free forever, unless something new releases. It's set 3000 years before the Phantom Menace, so the galaxy is a bit different, but there's a lot of familiar stuff too. You can travel the dune seas of Tatooine, fight gangsters in the belly of Coruscant, or brave the frigid wastes if Illum. That being said, it's a game with its limitations, and it is a significant investment of time if you want to experience any reasonable amount of the content availabe.

Well, if you want an open world Star Wars' game, you can always try Star Wars The Old Republic. Is my favorite out of all of them. It's ten years old but constanly being updated and some stories are great. It's a MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) and you can use custom characters and chose between eight factions with different stories. You can be a Jedi Sentinel, a Jedi Guardian, a Sith Inquisitor, Sith Warrior, Imperial Agent, Bountyhunter, Republic Trooper or a Smuggler. Great game and you travel throughout the galaxy.

There are a few Easter eggs your not gonna get.. Related to Star Wars rebels , Like the Ashla and bogan Another words for light side and the dark side... And the other padawan in episode 5 when you saw her taking that test... You also saw that Padawan Very briefly in the final story arc opening sequence of the clone wars.. Get watching you need to watch Star wars rebels... You only have about two months and three days left 😂

Hey you two. I've been watching your reactions since the first SW that you did. I myself have been watching, reading, playing SW since 1977 when I was a kid. In regards to Rebels, PLEASE put up the reactions for the whole series.. it's far less than the Clone Wars was, and it would be great to see you go through the entire series. Anyways, I enjoy watching you two discover all this stuff for the first time, keep enjoying.
