Really? I'm glad you told me that, it tells me where to direct my issue. This scene honestly feels a little ridiculous to me. I definitely understand Dooku believing this was the plan to the end of the Clone Wars, and I understand all of the thoughts/doubts/wishes he has here. But for the life of me I cannot imagine him being stupid enough to voice any of the thoughts that weren't about Anakin to Palpatine. Talking to a Sith like that may as well be holding up a big neon sign saying 'I should die now.'

@obsidianstag134 күн бұрын
Palpatine/Sidious' greatest weapon as a Sith is not his lightsaber combat skills, nor his abilities granted through the Force such as telekinesis or lightning blasts, it is his keen foresight, strategic mind, and masterful way with words.
@Macielos15 күн бұрын
I've never liked the idea of Dooku being this aware of Palpatine's plans regarding Anakin and still obedient enough to play along. I mean, of course he is loyal, but it's because he's constantly assured of his future role as a second-in-command in Sidious-reigned galaxy. He knows the Rule of Two and he's clearly no fool, so hearing what he heard here he'd immediately understand he's expendable and he'll soon be replaced by Skywalker if he fulfills his role to the end. Even more, I was also disappointed when Filoni made him responsible for planting Order 66 within clones. Meaning that he knew from the start he would be leading the war meant to be lost. It would be so much cooler if Dooku knew only one scenario - of Separatist victory over the Republic - while Palpatine starting the Clone Wars was prepared for both sides to eventually win. So it would be EITHER Order 66 and Republic transformation into the Empire OR Separatists becoming dominant force in the galaxy and decimation of the Jedi by their hands.
@NerdX1514 күн бұрын
It also shows how Dooku never truly saw himself as a Sith. He saw his role at Palpatine's side as a temporary one to reach his political goals. He thought the Dark Side was merely a tool that he could use and discard when it suited him, but that's never the case.
