Thank you so much for putting these on u tube, 4 or 5 great stories! These were so well done. I'm familiar with Texas as my first husband and I drove to Arizona in early 1980s, and it took 3 days! So I'm familiar with the territory...and I worked for almost 40 years for law enforcement here in Suffolk county, New york..these are what they call Police procedurals...fascinating! I worked for the Police and Probation department as a secretary, computer operator, typing documents for Judges, very interesting work, retired in 2002 after working almost 40 years. Thank you, and we love your introductions. Wish we could see pics of the actors. Joel McCrea was a wonderful actor.

Ps forgot to say it took 3 days just to drive thru Texas alone! Bad weather slowed us down a bit. Texas is 1000 miles wide! We ate where the truckers ate...they knew all the good places to stop and food good. They were right!

Totally agree TTR is a crime detective show, incredibly enjoyable radio shows… I listen to them over and over ! Pearson’s insightfulness on clues, reminds me of Columbo ! Always the smartest in the room !

This is one of my all time favorite. Gunsmoke is a crime drama too. Nice ! Anything whose story involves riding a horse is a western.

I have watched all 477 episodes of Gunsmoke but this right here is dang good

Yes but when those horses spend more time riding around than being ridden it does take on a different feel ☺️🤔😁

Gunsmoke is a western. It’s definitely not based on crime drama and many of the episodes are not crime drama episodes. Texas Rangers is specifically crime drama. It gets confused for a western because it’s Texas and at times, there are horses involved. But there are also city streets and automobiles. This show is always about case files. Not the same with gunsmoke or HGWT.

All kinds of jokes we could throw into the mix about "is it a western, crime drama or murder mystery?" I always thought it was the "Parley Baer Traveling Deputy Show",, since it seemed so many episodes, no matter what part of Texas, Parley was always the local deputy or sheriff.

Looked up Joel McCrea. He was a very nice-looking young man. He didn't have "a face for radio," lol. Looking forward to hearing what this show is like.

Hearth and Home...Too funny! I was working on something and had my laptop right next to me but wasn't looking at it. You're opening bit started and because I was concentrating on something else, I didn't expect to hear a sigh! It scared the crap out of me cuz I was alone in the house and it sounded like someone was in the room right next to my bed!!! I was expecting to hear Joel McCrea or something. Needless to say, your frustration was felt in that sigh! Funny how the mind works when it expects something but it doesn't happen. Maybe I need to watch fewer crime and serial killer shows!

It's a great show how small clues are picked out by astute Texas Ranger and at end bad guys get it especially when they get electric chair.
