Thanks for this tip, Alan. I love these old spooky UK telly series, this one I don't remember seeing but you never know, the funny thing is that once you watch something, it sometimes just comes back to you again and you remember it. Hoping for that here too. Another rare series I'd love to see released, if it even exists anymore is BBC's Menace (1970-73), 23 episodes I hope something there has survived...

Excellent review Alan! I really love these 70s mystery/horror anthology series and will definitely pick this up. Speaking of series of this genre, I really wish a label would release a deluxe version of “Journey To The Unknown”. There only appears to be bootleg dvds available, which is a great shame as it is an excellent series IMO.

Tales of Unease wasn't like other ITV shows such as Tales of the Unexpected or Thriller. There's an uncertainty over the shows identity, which probably clouded its success on a greater level. Thriller made by ATV had incredible shock endings that elevated its status to a higher level. Plus, Tales of the Unexpected had significant twists that Tales of Unease didn't have. LWT made another anthology series called The Frighteners, which, to a degree, followed suit with Tales of Unease. Both shows suffered in the ratings, and LWT dropped both of them. I still haven't seen Tales of Unease, so I will pick it up at some point when it comes down in price.

Yes indeed, TOU is definitely worth picking up. Thorougly enjoyed it. I only wish there could have been more episodes. Chillers is another great British TV series that is definitely worth picking up.

Yeah I had seen the 2 episodes here on KZbin, so I got that network disc on release with the slipcase i just haven't got round to watching them, defo will do now after this review cheers Alan!!

hi alan hope you are well any thourghts on halloween ends ? i wont speand 1499 heard its not good i allways go back to the first two films i wonder if this reboot thing will end easy money i think any way take care this is great time of the year forwatching movies steve
