I like that it sounds like it has some old school production. Modern production often sound digital, plasticy, lifeless, overproduced, sterile. The production on this album gives it life, character and a specific mood. Didn't know i needed this. Fantastic album. I love the sounds they make. It sounds like music you would hear in a weird 90's anime movie. And the 70's/90's mix of production just makes it better. I can already imagine kids going into this weird, mysterious, dark forest, getting to a swamp, meeting the frog wizard and other weird creatures. They're not necessarily hostile, but definitely weird and the kids are afraid and confused.

Total magic. Deepest thanks for this! A mood of Dark, sad& spooky, yet delightful & encouraging enchantment. A journey of story, read by an amazing voice, with pauses in the story for amazing music concluded with a longer spell of music. If you’re about to fall asleep to the lovely music, the voice suddenly comes on and is a tiny bit startling and this repeats nearly throughout. I’d love a version with the story in the beginning, & all the music at the end.
