Same. My theory, only partially tested, is that the rewards scale with your Reputation with the factions i.e. I'm honored with The Undying Army and seem to be getting better rewards from their Callings than the other factions that I'm only Friendly with.

I also had trouble with the one on top of the pillar. My husband got on his warrior, heroic leapt onto it, turned into a dragon two-person mount and I jumped at him with my glider and spam clicked him as i floated by and was able to dismount onto the crystal and grabbed it!

Re: Callings Loot. I've had 2 callings that rewarded a purple reward (instead of the standard blue) and both times they gave me an epic quality conduit. Mind you, it was a conduit I didn't need, but they can drop conduits. All I've gotten from the blue bags are grey items, but I'm happy with those because they sell for a lot and I'm always happy for more money at the start of an xpac.

I thoroughly enjoyed BFA a lot more, but mostly because I actually like that carrot on a stick in my themepark mmos. Truth be told, I only play WoW for its latest content, so when a lot of that content is still pretty boring, but also mostly unnecessary, I just don't really feel like I should bother. This should a hundred percent get better once M+ releases tomorrow and we get higher torghast levels though.

Re the floating necropolis in Maldraxxus: It’s part of the Necrolord covenant transport system but was hijacked when one of the Houses fell (Eyes I think). We’re working on taking it back right now; when it’s fully upgraded, we’ll have access to it.

Top mythic guild. Getting ready, clearing my working schedule, running dungeons, looking up tactics, theorycrafting, never let anyone down, bought a butt ton of consumables, every document states I'm in, was playing all BfA mythic raids, making almost no mistakes etc... Last day forgot about the raid team meeting, just got caught up in work. While ppl had an option to call me on the phone. Fired. Nice. No places in any other mythic guild. Esp now. Btw top Dps class currently not that it means something.

I've gotten Epic level conduits from my Callings. Some bad ones but some really good ones. Also, if theres a conduit from a world quest available, and you turn in your calling and get that same conduit, the world quest reward is instantly converted into anima.

if you are not top end raider, you're more or less free to ignore the maw entirely. Venari only gives updates for Maw anyway.

That there is more that is likely a future raid going on in Maldraxxus is fairly obvious when in part of the map there is a tunnel leading to a wide open lake with only a few animals in the area and some junk in the lake. This area seems clearly laid out to be the entrance to a new raid.

I had retired my Paladin in Redridge at the end of BFA and then went Kyrian for the Shadowlands, so the covenant quest this week really hit home. I could feel my character aching, helplessly watching his lakeside retirement village overrun by the Scourge in his absence. An unexpected moment I had created by circumstance. This quest was so full of atmosphere, heart, and tragedy. Brilliant.

I actually got two ilvl 184 (epic) conduits from the calling containers. One of the them was pretty forgettable, the other one the really nice endurance conduit that gives you leech whenever someone in your party or raid uses your healthstone.

I feel you in regards to legendaries, 2 of the best ones for me as a Demon Hunter are locked behind the 2 last bosses of Castle Nathria, so I made one to use for now, and to be honest, i've quite enjoyed the playstyle its opened up for me. For those curious i'm using the Burning Wound legendary which increases Immolation aura damage by 50% so that paired with the Growing inferno conduit which further increases the damage by 13% hasn't been too bad :D

I got a second identical copy of a bad 184 conduit from one of the epic (purple) calling chests, and an egg that can hatch into a mount after 3 days from another epic calling chest. Nothing of value from any rare (blue) calling chests. The Calling quests with an epic chest reward seem to be the only ones that you don't want to miss.

Theater of Pain - usual drops after the 1st and the Xal. First one for DPS, second one for tanks. But it is understandable as some people had to run it 40-80 times!
