707whiteboy1 Actually you’re correct and I do love a lot of the underground artists. Guys like Skyzoo, Elzhi, Roc Marciano, Reks, etc. What I was actually trying to say is that the younger generation doesn’t care about those that are making great art, and that’s hurt the credibility of the music in some ways.

I feel like this song is a very soulful side of hiphop kinda like the blues in the way that you have to feel it to play it. I have always loved this song and the music by it's self is just timeless, unfortunately we have lost this is long gone, as it is with most music on the radio not much soul left in it.

Damn man....this hit me right in the feels. Just hearing this again makes me so nostalgic that it hurts. This song was amazing then and it’s still amazing now. As a 13 year old kid back in 2000 this was my favorite song for a long time, love this type of soulful rap. Man I miss hip hop from the 90’s to early 2000’s. That was truly the last golden age before it all came crashing down.

05, not at all but certainly better than the relic of what we have now. However 04/05 marked the official southern takeover and NY mysteriously fell into the background. I was 17 in 05 and I was already listening to hip hop from 91 to 98. I would say it peaked and was stagnant by 2000/01, then something happened.....
