Personally I am of Japanese descend (Dawson is just an online pseudonym) with no Western blood within the past few centuries, at least as far as I'm aware of... but I might have to get my DNA checked up pretty soon then, haha. I first heard Inspiration being used as theme song for a traditional Japanese drama. I don't know what sort of a genius would've thought to use flamenco music for an Edo period suspense, but many Japanese agree that there's something in it that weirdly resonates with our Japanese senses, even though the music itself is Spanish. Maybe it's the guitar tones? Who knows. But I love how music can totally travel through time and space, reach people's minds like nothing else can.

Sure I can play the iPad melodeons, can't feel the buttons, and I was advised from the beginning not to look, so takes a different mind-set, quite doable with work. You can set the notes to show on the buttons, but reading is not my way, it is down to hearing, also hearing when I run right off the tracks 'cause no feel on the screen.

This song has the sound of a nostalgic memory; rushing by in the theater of one's mind so fast that the fine details of the background and 'side characters' fade away in a blur of color. Nostalgia is one of the very few emotions that we as humans can experience that is both negative and positive at the same time. It reminds us of times gone by that we remember fondly but at the same time encompasses the longing we feel to relive those days that have already passed. To any who reads this, I want you to remember something. Nostalgia is not a bad feeling, it is proof that we are something that exists above the world as we know it. Whether it was through atoms smashing in just the right way to give us a planet that is perfectly far from the sun with water that we can drink and the food we can eat or the hand of God(s) lovingly sculpting us and the world to grow beyond their design and become more beautiful we have the capacity to feel happy for what we've experienced and miss it at the same time. This is an aspect of life that we as humans can cherish. Keep looking forward, since echoes of that nostalgia will ripple outwards into your future and the tune will sound just as vibrant and beautiful as the first time you heard it but with new faces, new places, and new experiences.

When I saw and heard how you three played together, I was reminded of something I learned in choir. My teacher told us that in a good choir, you can pick out great individual voices but in a great choir every individual listens in order to blend their voices into the singular 'voice' of the choir. I listen to a lot of folk music but I've noticed that the three of you are so in synch at times I stop hearing individual instruments and only hear the sound of your trio as a whole. It's kind of magical to see and unique to your group. So Thank you for sharing your voice, listening to you work off of one another is a joy.

Wait a minute... This sounds like an original reel? That's a pretty cool blend you have there. Contemporary styling near the front and back ends sandwiching traditional reel time madness. Gonna need some more of that.

Yes, it belongs to the neo-trad movement. Scotland is on the edge of it.

This song is absolutely beautiful and brings a tear to my eye everytime I listen to it! Truly a work of art! This song means a lot to me as it was supposed to be the introductory song to a dnd campaign that never happened, so happy tears for sure! But also a few sad ones mixed in…

I clicked because haha funny tiny accordion. I left with goosebumps, a tear in my eye and an overwhelming sense of hope and happiness. This piece gives off the warmth of a summers day, with the nostalgic twist. The hint of Celtic in it adds to it too. Overall a wonderful experience...well done 👍

rotten heavenly.......where do you think the irish adopted their music from alang with 100s of scottish fiddle reel tunes(them being indigenous to scotland. many many scots and english sangs adopted in the late 50s/60s by the fledgeling irish bands at that time.

I just discovered you through youtube recommendations. Extremely grateful for that. This song moves many emotions in me at once. Sadness, happiness, tranquility, etc. Asa fellow musician, when I saw you guys how zoned in you became as the song progressed, made me feel so good. I love seeing fellow musicians completely dragged in by the music. Great work!
