Diana Vesga is the Chief Operating Officer at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the largest art museum in the western United States. She is significantly involved in various projects, most notably the development of the David Geffen Galleries, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Peter Zumthor.
Vesga has played a pivotal role in leading efforts that align with LACMA’s broader goals of expanding and modernizing its campus.
On the latest episode of OWC’s Talk PR series, Vesga talks about overcoming operational challenges and the importance of having an owner mentality. When referencing working with her team, partners and the community, she states, “I always wanted to share why this was important in the hope they were inspired and felt they owned it in the same way I do. I think that sense of ownership made people make the improbable happen.”
