I remember when my mom gave birth to my sister in Canada, we stayed at my mom's friend's (Chinese) home and I remember we always finish dinner quite early, maybe around 4-5pm, then we go finishing, after we return we will eat fish for snack (siu ye) at 7pm. Because 30+ years ago, shops and working hour finish around 3-4pm so they have early dinner.

Similar experience when I first came to the UK at 18, they had their tea (means dinner) around 5pm and that’s it for the night!Thankfully my friend and I had chocolate and crisps and were quite happy to have a late night feast in the room! These are precious memories! I guess teenagers eat loads, I’m now quite happy not to eat anything beyond 7pm which is impossible 30 years ago! 😉

Very enjoyable vlog on how people live overseas than your own country. It’s true how people eat lunch/dinner at 4 pm and in the evening you can snack or have soup.

Interesting story. Not sure if it’s different for farmers but we usually eat dinner around 6-7 pm in LA.
