we used to put bread,milk and sugar together in a saucepan and cook it all together. bread goes mushy and it is so yummy. plus we did not have cheese with it. x

Back in the day we use to eat "Milk Toast" which was warm milk over bread with butter, sugar and cinnamon. If we were lucky we would have Finnish Melba Toast instead of plain bread. Oh those were the days. Love you guys so much.

Hi Angela and Jamie . I’m so happy that Connor is there to help. I kind of get worried to hear that Jamie will try to climb this ladder. I live right off the gulf and it got down to 30° and it’s rainy. It rained all day. And tomorrow’s going to be the same. But Friday we’re supposed to have sunshine. I can’t understand how you guys can live in such a cold place. I lived in Manassas Virginia and went through some blizzards, but I don’t think I could do it anymore. In the house I have 67° and that’s good. If it gets down to 65 I’ll turn on the heat just to get the chill. Well, I sure miss you guys. I’ve been gone for a while so I will be bench watching all the videos. I can’t wait till Monday. But I heard the rally will be on Sunday. God sure blessed us.

Never heard of eating bread and milk, with cheese. I guess it is something from the depression, when that is all you had. My parents lived through the depression, and my Dad was in WW2. One thing he did say when he got back to Canada in one piece, was he was so grateful for our Great country and how well we lived. Not rich, but always had good food to eat, and a nice roof over our heads. His children could stay in school, choose to be educated in a trade or get a university degree, after finishing high school. It was made clear that was our choice, but we had to pick one. I wish one of them were still here to ask about bread & milk with cheese.

My dad used to eat rye bread, lettuce 🥬, mayonnaise, and peanut butter sandwiches! And he ate bread and milk but not sure if he put anything else in it! As a kid, I thought ewww how gross, but getting older now, I am thinking about trying both! 😅
