I heard the 2 npcs with the highest affinity for you gets chosen as the emissary, depending on who dies. i got sam coe too. it was berret or sam coe for me, hbu?

So when a Starborn enters another Universe, what point in time is it? Are the people born around 2330 the only humans in all of human history, that are able to be starborn?? I still need to finish the main quest but idk if it awnsers these questions

this is a good question. the way i solved it in my head is that maybe there’s starborn throughout any point in history where people can get to unity. so not too early on because they don’t have spaceships and all. but people who go through unity into a different universe, only end up in a universe in their same time frame. so we will only enter universes in 2330 but other starborn that were born in let’s say 3400 can only enter universes in the 3400 area. TLDR; i think starborn can only enter universes in the same year as the one they left so that time stays steady. they grow old and die as normal. staying in their timeline. proof that they can grow old is shown by the hunter when persuaded towards the end that he “feels the weight of his years”

Coming from someone who has beaten new game plus, spoilers ahead: It's not actually that special, when you run into them again outside the ancient temple they just say they were expecting you, you pick a side like the first time and the rest goes down the exact same way including the ending, no new dialogue or anything that I noticed atleast

So the Hunter says every time he attacked the Lodge I died except this time: 'You making it to your ship on your own is... new. I took it as a sign'. But a few sentences later he says: 'We always end up having this meeting.' That does not make any sense. Why would I talk to him in a universe where I am dead?

@@TylerDahn Thanks for the response. That could be an explanation but isn't the goal of this meeting to convince me (the player) to chose a side? Why would the Hunter and the Emissary otherwise need to meet? Maybe it's something I missed. When the Hunter attacked the Lodge all the Constellation members seemed to know who he was but I had never heard of the Hunter before then. In my game play Barrett died and a few in game days later Sarah tells me she feels too pressured by Barrett lately. So I wanted to tell her: 'Honey you're confused. Barrett is dead remember?' but that was not a dialogue option. Vasco also seems to think Barrett is still around. Did I miss something or is there a side quest I should play... any ideas?

@@ingeborgsvensson4896no, the goal of meeting is to convince the Hunter to be at peace with the Emissary. Only this meeting, where you’re present, has the discussion been different.

This quest is super broken for me. I go on the ship and the Hunter just fucking attacks me non stop, tried going back to older saves and coming back.. nothing. 14 hours of progress fucked...

Sarah keeps telling me she feels pressured by Barrett too much lately but Barret is the one that died during the attack on the Lodge. The game does not even seem to keep track who is dead and who is still alive.
