I Vorici brick every 6 link i land as it is unrealistic to ever 6 link an item in true ethical SSF hardcore. I skip Labyrinth because ascendancy classes are unethical powerhouses. Every time a vaal orb drops, i immediately use it on a randomly equipped piece of gear to increase the challenge. I've had global and trade chat disabled since i got my beta invite in 0.9.2d in merveil fireball optimization curse duration patch, because player interaction gave too much advantage. I've send 84 emails to GGG's accord over the years asking for unlimited ignore players space so i can make sure that nobody talks to me when i am in town. I read and listen to every lore stone, notes, books to fully immerse myself into the true ethical SSF hardcore experience. Every time i go into this General and read the words meta, trading, blade flurry, clear speed, headhunter, so on and so on, i make sure i thrust my vibrating dildo one to three times to punish myself accordingly protecting my TESSFHC experience. I've stolen at least a dozen credit cards from my parents to pay for the 3250 normal stash tabs to show my support for GGG and the true hardcore game they developed. I think a fun historical mention could go out to two individuals. ProjectPT and bakedchicken. ProjectPT was essentially the antithesis of what the current game has become. He was an advocate for slow methodical gameplay. He hated the idea of having to blast fast and often set out to prove you don't have to zoom. He pushed for people playing solo self found before this was even a thing in the game. He was also known for being highly critical and highly controversial with his very vocal takes, often calling the devs out for making - in his eyes- dumb choices. Bakedchicken is almost the exact opposite, the super grinder blaster of shield charge coc discharge or vaal spark fame. Blasting his way to level 100 by just going fast back when that was actually a challenge. Chancing headhunters and corrupting them, not even blinking an eye at the bricks. But most importantly, his very crude and degenerate gamer style humour was a blast.
@asdasdfaf7827Ай бұрын
The problem is "in his opinion" and not a lot agreed with him. It would make the game not fun to play. We have those arpgs already and can play them. SSF was his best idea, and his lore videos were good.
@netneo4038Ай бұрын
Yeah PT's vision for a game is something that I think is similar to what chris wilson enjoys, essentially a fleshed out version of ruthless that isn't just a dumbed nerfed down poe1 but something that is fundamentally designed as ruthless. PoE2 is actually far more something that PT would enjoy. A lot of his problems with poe1 are fundamental issues with speed and clear and mindless grinding, which is something that we already see is incentivized to be changed in PoE2, with specific counters for specific enemy types etc. Obviously PoE2 isn't PT's ideal game, its not extreme enough, but even if his vision for his ideal game isn't something 99% of the people want, some of his ideas are things that are appealing to a far larger audience, and i think it's fair to respect those. But he wasn't always the most reasonable about it, he was very harsh in his critique and criticisms. Often ranting about how GGG abandoned their vision for greed etc.

IF You dont add Alkaizer to the list this is just a waste of time hes one of the greatest RPG players of all time. MANY MANY world firsts even in other games.. D3 to name one. When D3 launched it had like 30 million copys sold in a week. He was world first to reach lvl 100. I think he almost got banned in the process because he was so far ahead they thought he was cheating. Then his Brilliance led to the famous ALKISER RUNS!!!

I mean you gotta talk about Quin69. A lot people can't stand his banter with the chat, and in general you kinda have to get used to his stream. But once you do it is very fun especially at league start! Also gigachad Mathil1 should be talked about as well due to his always fun gimmicky builds and super chill stream that is pretty much the opposite of Quins circus.

I mean, he's a Titanic level streamer, and probably brought the game even more attention in the modern day than even Kripp, but Im struggling to list much in the way of player accomplishments he has under his belt.

I found TFT during Kalandra (my first league was Harvest). As someone who was still new and wasnt good at making money I thought it was cool I could sell stuff to get the funds I needed. I sold lots of Aisling/Vorici/Hillocks because I enjoyed betrayal and then used the money to upgrade my build and fight bosses. The last time I went into TFT it took me 45 min to sell one thing. Its impossible to sell things. Plus ive finally gotten to the point where I can farm well enough to find things worth selling on trade and just make the money without TFT. Having made a couple hundred div the last few leagues without TFT im so glad I put the effort into learning how to farm better cause using TFT is a nightmare and I never plan on going back. Id recommend it to all but ik some people just dont have the time to sell things not in bulk. I think if GGG can find a way to let people bulk sale things like fossils, essences, scarabs (and by bulk I mean sell their entire tab to one person) then another part of TFT dies and we get closer to a more community friendly game.

Eh, it's like Cutedogs way of saying chaos orb, a funny affectation. (he pronounces the "ch" in chaos like "ch", not "k")

While I absolutely respect Ben and think he's absolutely top tier, honestly, one player imo is better and he should be mentioned. DAN/DirtyDan/PoeDan. He should absolutely be covered. If Ben is a god then Dan is the God Emperor.

A Niche choice for infamous, but how about the guy who controlled the lab jewel market for YEARS? It was well enough known that when a patch changed how they were acquired several content creators read it as "and fuck that guy in particular." Also +1 vote for Demi.

Charan for being a weird sword lover who introduced the Charan sword to the game. Also XvXReaperXvX whom who has The ONLY ONE AND ONLY Keyblade in the game (exclude Devs.). But they only be know in the forum so i guess not that famous? just unsung legend like Suitsizesmall.

"Unbelievably complex PoE" hmm... Possibilities doesn't make things complex unless you make it so for yourself. STOP presenting the game this way! You all make it unfun for alot of ppl or just scaring them away. yes, you "content creators" actually scared one of my friend away. I did conviced him that complexity of things, depends on ones intelligence. now he killed every uber on his second league. (with his own build) Why cant you ppl just enjoy the GAME by doing things one step at a time instead of tryharding it? nobody is going to learn everything about PoE. But let's say you do, then they change everything so now you dont anymore. and that is the beauty of it. just enjoy the endless possibilities everyone! Im not saying this to you personally but to everyone of the same mindset.

EE was one of those I always check out. In the end I like the formating, but the builds not so much. About him stopping, there were a video competition hosted by GGG and he was one of the top 3 (or won, I don't remember). The video was a teaser for a build guide, a Lab runner Jugg, was really good edited and fun. For reasons only Freud can explain, he got so much flame for it that he ended up not releasing the build guide, even sharing his script in the KZbin community page. Ever since I never saw another of his guides. Probably it wasn't only that, but burnout too. But having so much hate comming at your way might have sealed the deal.

I think Kitten Cat Noodle definitely deserves a mention for all the lore. jousis for the memes empy for the insane group play havoc for trying to get more people into racing and being a great racer himself. belton, who's not the man we wanted but the man we needed in the tft war, and an insane crafter with great crafting videos. (who funnily doesn't use pob.) hawg and darthmtx, the new guys

Didn't mention Saltydayn, germany's best PoE player once (not even honorable mention). Even internationally he'd dust every single player with his knowledge, rivaling mark 2 even. Kinda hard bias towards US/english players. Sad to see such a narrow view on the scene.

I know you limited yourself to just a few players and this particular one is a very old name that hasn't been seen in years but I think its a mistake to not include Ghudda. The OG troll that had GGG constantly on their heels trying to nerf whatever crazy thing he came up with next. He made bosses unable to move or perform any action, made spell totems fire infinite vaal skills (had 10,000 copies of vaal spark at once in the same instance) and even once worked out how to craft any item by repeatedly using currency items through crashing servers and causing localised instance rollbacks. His entire persona was breaking the game in interesting ways and was widely known by the community as GGG's number 1 unofficial game tester.

From what I remember Engineering Eternity had a falling out with either GG or the game. I don't remember it being anything toxic or drama related. Just it seemed like GG wouldn't give him. The proper trust or recognition. For the amount of work he was putting into the game or his content. Hard to explain but he chose to focus more. On his life and other responsibility. To him PoE wasn't worth it for some reason. If his streaming VoDs are still up. You might find more reasoning there. Since it started after a PoE RL event and him getting a house.
