you dont have to wipe it all off . i have nokia android phone and i restarted it by pressing volume up and down and power button. whn it turned on i just pressed volume up and down and it worked.

You just have erased all the user data. You could have simply hold the volume up and volume down keys for 3 seconds. and it would have been fixed so easily. Also, if that doesn't fixes, then to brighten the screen, there is already written on the screen that, SWIPEDOWN AND THEN SWIPE RIGHT, AND THEN SELECT BRIGHTEN SCREEN. Such an easy task to do. Maybe you need to take some English classes to read those clearly visible lines.
