According to the leaked listings SS86 Megatron is coming on late 2025, so that should fix the problem + in comparison to the autobots, ER was actually under scaled

According to hasbro pulse this version of Optimus Prime is 7 inches tall. But then again they also said that earthrise Optimus Prime is 7 inches tall. Which he is not. He's just under 7 inches tall. Like 6 and three fouth.

The Earthrise was a little bit too small and this new prime should be a better scale than before. The Ultra Magnus was way way too big for the scale full stop.

I wasn't crazy about the new scaling at first, but I think I understand what they're trying to do. They're trying to get more in line with Ultra Magnus, I don't think they're going to redo the scaling completely, if that was the case then they would have to go all the way back as far as war for Cybertron Siege, and I really don't believe they're going to do that. I think their main focus of scaling is on Optimus, and of course, the upcoming Commander class Megatron. My worry is the scaling with Legacy Motormaster. He's the same height as earthrise and Siege Prime, Commander class Optimus Prime is going to be taller, they were the same height in the cartoon.

I agree Motormaster is probably the biggest problem with the new scale but oh well. Gives you a reason to keep your ER Optimus. I wonder how the cab’s scales? ER Optimus definitely looked to small to motormaster in truck mode.

Have you noticed the lack of detail in both Optimus and the trailer compared to Earthrise Prime?

Yes, but that's because the cartoon wasn't as detailed, which this is based on. They intentionally didn't want the animation models to be too detailed because they wanted it to be easier and quicker to animate.

I was hoping you would make a video about this. I’m excited about his new scale. I always felt the ER Optimus was to small. (Along with Megatron) this will get them were they need to be.

Thanks for watching! I can see ER being too slim, and Prime and Megs should be bigger since they're the leaders. I just need to see how he'll be in hand.

I probably misinterpreted it, but he mentioned they made him to the scale of recent figures, which I took as they're making a newer scale. I guess it's a more recent scale. But Ultra Magnus is just too big for me.

Do you have a Masterpiece Prime - MP 10 or MP 44 ? This is where I'm torn... I have MP-10 and am very happy with it, and I have the Siege 35th Anniv. Prime... so as much as I would like this SS86 Prime I'm not sure if I need him for the collection, nor do I really want to drop $90 on him. Not sure man...

I used to have MP 10 and TE 01 for my masterpiece version, but I sold them to a friend. If you're satisfied with the other versions, I wouldn't drop the $90 on this then, unless you see it as an investment to turn and around and sell it later. And that depends on how many Hasbro produces. I just want a good shelf piece, and I think this one will do as a cheaper alternative to an MP version.
