The only team that got hung out to dry are the Cowboys themselves because by delaying the inevitable by a week the window closed on talking to potential head coaching candidates that are part of playoff teams (Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn, etc...). Mike McCarthy had his run in Dallas and it didn’t lead to playoff success (Does everyone remember the Green Bay game). He is what he is and I can't believe after a disaster of this season that people actually wanted him back. It's not unlike Dak, we have enough history with Dak now to know he's going to give us a chance to have good to great regular season's but fall apart in the playoffs. Enough mediocrity is enough. Do we want good or do we want championships. Enough is enough. Oh, and don't get me started on the fossil that we have as an owner and GM that can't get out of his own way to allow for Championships in Dallas.

Ugh ugh, don't a. Players went on the DL from the best LB, CB, Lineman & QB. He out won Jimmy & JG. Out won Jimmy & no other coach won a Bowl. You don't end someone's career because of injuries, it doesn't work that way. Injuries is not disaster.

IMOP, Coach Mike did excellent & won alot of games, multiple #1 offensive & defensive seasons. He won alot more than Jimmy Johnson & JG. He put his soul into it & to do that takes more. Missing the point, blaming the coach is like blaming players for getting injured. Wrong to hold it over someone giving 100%. His absolute best players were out. If you don't like it too bad, go run 100 sprints. .. say this though, your combo isn't better than Coach Mike & Brett, he broke the passing yd record & won more than Rodgers on the Jets.
