This is a slightly depressing video for me, but a realistic one. I probably suffer from Aural Aphantasia. I learned to "sing" in church to make my brothers laugh, and they encouraged me to sing out of key. Choir teachers told me to move my lips and not make a sound. In University I tried to learn a stage voice. But the professor of a Beginning Singing course during summer school asked me if it wasn't too late to be refunded my money on the first day. So I have a mental block. But I'm trying to learn the piano and ukulele. The only success is using the Rule of the Octave by the parts to follow the tonic. Baby steps I guess.

Is it the audiation part? Because I can assure you that not many people can do it without training. Several good sight readers I know can sightread without knowing what it sounds like before actually playing it.
