Great comparison man. Your videos are very important to me as I am very interested in the details other people don't mention. Crazy how small the long endless arc frame looks compared to the two roka frames ^^

I'm so glad it was helpful, I've had all these thoughts stored up for a long time so it really all just flowed out naturally :D The roka frames are total powerhouses, the 125/76 especially feels like it's a totally different sport with how sunken in you feel and how much stability they offer

@@billyarlew I ordered the Roka 90/72 frames yesterday. I´m very excited :) The only thing is: I'm not sure if I´m gonna like the SEBA CJ2 Boots as they only have a velcro fastener in the middle. I hope this will be tight enough (and last long) to have maximum control over the frames. I used the SEBA FR1 for my endless Arc frames.

I took the cuff off entirely, carefully laid in some Barge Cement between the heel and separating leather and then I wrapped it up as tight as I could with Saran Wrap to hold it in place. Let it sit for two days before I took the Saran Wrap off. Heel and leather are now tightly bonded. That was 18months ago. Still holding strong.

Do you prefer the support of it glued? When I got the white CJ2's I did not like the "foot in a cast" feeling... but after my first session they had separated and had a more organic forward flex.. I'm torn about whether to glue mine or not..

Most people in my area skate endless frames and the scene feels pretty stale setup wise so I love the fact you skate such a diversity of brands and sizes! Any idea what the new roka frames are that they've teased recently, is it a new 6 wheel model?

There's a lot of options out there from the handful of rockered frame makers, but it's really cool to see who is willing to push the limits! The Roka teaser looked to be more of a change in the tech, with bridges and some other subtle details, I don't think it's a new 6-wheel frame but not totally sure!

A friend of mine has the 100/84 advanced frame and I've been on it, takes some getting used to. I have the PR80s, NR100s and the NR110s, I love the 80s and the 100s, but for wizardy stuff, not too sure on my new 110s, but I DID get those for more of a long distance frame more so than a true wizard setup. Oh yeah, I ride Seba Carbons and I'm a size 44.

Complete noob here, the slight breakdowns definitely help me understand more of what you're trying to explain. Are they comfier than ice skates?? because some of the boots look just as stiff as skates! (that's the only thing I have to compare) What would you suggest for a beginner setup?! I wish snowboard boots were this customiseable!!!

I dont' have much experience ice skating but based on what I've seen you either pick figure skates or hockey skates and both of those styles have very little padding of any kind. Rollerblade boots usually have quite a bit of padding and so they can be more comfy, as long as you find a style that fits. I have very wide feet especially in the toes and so the Seba CJ2 prime is my favorite option, combined with the heat-moldable intuition premium liner. What I like about skates is it's just 3 main parts: boot, frame, wheels. To me it's very similar to snowboarding actually: boots, bindings, board. 🤷‍♂

Thanks so much for this vid! I have been eagerly anticipating it as i share several of your setups and wanted to know your thoughts. Im trying to progress in wizard skating and find myself preferring the shorter frames like my roka 572 and wizard nr90 due to it's playfulness and natural feeling (im size eu41) yet i see many great wizard skaters such as yourself killing it with the longer frames. Am i doing something wrong here in preferring shorter frames, yet wanting to progress in wizard skating? My endless arc is the upper limit in terms of frame length and my wizard advanced feels too long and clumsy.

Hi Billy, my name is Vittorio. i’m your fan and i also have the endless arc but in the 165 version… i’m moving to ufs setups and i was wondering if an arc ufs or a wizard advance or a rocking 580/590 could be the right choice… i need bigger wheels to be able to do more urban skating but my purpose in skating is to be able to wizard Skate everywhere, also in a city like Lecce (italy) that is quite never flat.. what do you think? Thanks for every tips, you are a source of inspiration!

Hi Vittorio! Thanks so much for following along and reaching out! It's a great question... I think there are some benefits to each option you listed, and maybe some drawbacks. Like you mentioned, for urban skating, it's nice have bigger wheels to roll through rougher pavement, but it's also nice to have a compact setup for maneuverability... The Arc is light and compact but the 76mm wheels can feel pretty small after they get worn down a few mm... Then the Advanced are fast and stable, but quite heavy... I haven't tried the Rockin 90/80, but I also looked at the Roka 90/80 which is pretty similar.. Overall I think if you like to cruise and just kind of chill skating around, then do wizard, I would go for advanced, but it won't be great for sprinting around... But if you want those "light feet" for jumping on things and sprinting, but not as much top speed, then the Arc is really nice. I think it would be really cool to see Endless to a bit larger version of the Arc that is still lightweight but 5 larger wheels for those who want a bit more speed and don't mind a longer frame. Good luck in your journey and let me know what you end up getting! I'm curious now :)

Definitely! It has a great rocker and if it’s a size you feel more comfortable with a shorter frame then that’s a perfect option

I'm curious, how do those velcro straps compare to the stock buckles on the sebas? I've been looking at getting some JAD straps for my cj boot as they look great and seem more convenient, but I'm a little concerned over the amount of support they provide compared to buckles. What's your experience?

I really like the Velcro. The stock buckles would sometimes slip and the Velcro never does. I also felt pain from the buckles sometimes due to how hard they are, whereas the Velcro are more comfortable. Lastly the buckle receivers would catch on each other when my feet were pressed together causing me to fall, and the Velcro never does :)

How would you compare the 100/84 Advanced to the ARC ES as an urban setup? Which would you say is more stable and less swivelly?

Well I'd like to answer the swively part later when I can try the Advanced with new wheels. I have tried customizing the rocker with different wheel sizes so I dont' know how it feels out of the box... But the Arc ES is a very stable rocker, not too much but not too little. It's just intuitive is how I would call it. For urban skating, I like them for different reasons. The Advanced will plough over any pavement and it's so long that I feel very stable at high speed, but it's heavy and that makes it harder to sprint on. The Arc on the other had is lightweight and more compact so I can accelerate quickly and navigate tigher spaces, but it feels like a lower top speed in comparison to the Advanced. Hope that helps :)
