Many thanks about your lesson, Oli. This's my practice: My family has 6 members: my grandparents, my parents, my aunt and me. I don't see my family often because I live in a different city for study, but I speak to them regularly by phone. We all get together once a month, exactly when I have much freetime like weekend or holiday, which is always very noisy but lots of fun.

My Grandma and my parents ofcouse. I am very close to my family although we live in different city. I go back to my hometown once or twice a year but I talk to them on skype every so often. I cook traditional cuisine for my them whenever I am back to my hometown. My family said they love my cooking except my younger brother he always tease me and said "please don't open a restaurent". We share our experience and opinions within family and keep look out for one another. I am so glad to have this family.

Thanks for your lesson. I come from a immediate family including my parents, two older sister and me. I'm the youngest in the family. I have a lot of cousin, but they live in Quang Nam province where is so far from my house, so we don't see together often. My mom is a household women who always take care of every member in the family. Also, my Dad quite love playing chess with his friends, besides he often goes jogging around the park near my house in his freetime. And two older sister haven't still married. Sometimes, my family go hang out or watch TV together. Particularly in the Christmas this year, my family went to Vung Tau beach which we enjoy all of the time. I really hope that my parents are always healthy and happy, because it is the most important goal in my life. Thank you for your help again, I wish you will always be happy and lucky in life.

Hello. Thank you very much for this lesson. This is my practice: I come from a big family. I’m the middle child and I have one older brother, one sister and one younger brother. There's a four-year-old gap between my siblings. I don’t have children, but I have four nieces! I don’t see my family often because I live in another city where is quite far from my home. I try to spend as much time as possible making a video call with my parents every weekend. At the end of each month, I usually come back home, help my parents to cook some special dishes and we have lots of fun together.

Hello, your lesson is very useful. This is my work I come from a small family with four members. There are my parents, my brother who is one year younger than me and myself. Both us are the student in secondary school. I'm in seventh grade and he's in sixth grade. My mother is a businesswoman. She is very good at languages. Although she is busy, she always has time to do housework and help us with our schoolwork. My dad is an engineer. He travels pretty often with his job in abroad. When he returns from work, he tries to as much time as possible with us. Sometimes we watch films or have a picnic in the countryside. All of them are a memorable experience. We are concord with each other. I love my family so much.

2018 was the first of many for me. I married the love of my life and gave birth to a beautiful son. My very own family. Currently, we live with my husband’s grandmother and great grandmother. They are the only family we get to see everyday. Although I miss my family back home so much, I don’t have the chance to see them more often. Mostly because of time and financial constraints. Back in the day, we do a lot of things together as a family. Like going to church on Sunday mornings and, as much as possible, we eat breakfast together. That’s our own kind of bonding.

Thanks for sharing, Angel. Here are a few suggestions for you: 1) '...get to see every day,' not, 'everyday'. 2) '....often, mostly because of...' not, '...often. Mostly because of...'. 3) 'Back in the day, we did a lot of things...' not, 'do'. 'Back in the day' means in the past. Hope this is useful for you!

I grew up in a family of 5. There are my parents and two sibling: one brother and one sister. I am the oldest brother. My sister is 21 and she is still studying Chinese to become interpreter in the future. My brother is just 8. He is in elementary school. I do not see my family often because I live in a different city but I still speak to them regularly. We all get together at least two times a year, which is always noisy but lots of fun.

Hello! Thank you very much for your lesson Oli. I'd wish to do it with you. This is my practice, it might be interesting: There are four people in my intermediate family: My parents, my sister and myself. I'm very close to my family. I don't have kids yet but I like to have a huge family one day. I live with my family and my mother cooks yummy food everyday. I have lots of cousins. We always eat together and I usually help my mother to cook Maldivian traditional foods. By the way, I play with my younger sister who likes to play all day! She always likes to lie down next to me on my parents bed or even on the playing mat. My sister also likes to listen carefully to the story's I tell her. She really likes to play with me a lot. We all go to the park if the weather is nice. I love my family very much. Thank you! Maakin 7yrs

There are seven people in my immediate family we´re so close, we usually all get together at least twice or three times a month. We go to my grandma´s house and make delicious food and talk to each other about everything, and sometimes we go to the mall and we usually see the many stores, and also, we have lunch too. So, I have three brothers and I´m the oldest among them, we get along very well, however I haven´t see my others two brothers often, because they lived so far to me. I married but I don´t have children yet, however I have to nephews their names are Bryan and Miguel. I see my other relatives, but not often as my immediate family. We get together each once a month, we usually go to my aunt´s house and enjoy our time together. I love all my family. Thank you so much for this videos, it´s helping me a lot!

Hi Oli Here is the description of my house and the place in my house I like the most. I live in a semi-detached house which is much spacious and airy. It has two bedrooms, a cosy studyroom, a big well furnished drawing-room, and a lovely living room with a well equipped kitchen and two washrooms.it has a front yard with a small evergreen and flowery garden. I love my home but the most I like is the livingroom because I have great association to it. It's the place where my husband, kids, and I get together for our meals. We enjoy some family programmes, videos ,discussions, and our day long observations. I feel warmth and harmony here with my nuclear family. That's why I keep it clean, organized, and fragrant.

Hi! This is really a helpful lesson. I hope you will make more videos like this to help everyone in the whole world to practice English. This is my answer: There are six people in my immediate family: my parents, three younger sisters and myself. I don't have children yet, but I very close to my sisters. I'm the oldest child, so I always help my mother to take care of our family such as cooking, tidy up, play with my youngest sister,... We are living in a beautiful house in the North of the Hanoi suburb. We often have dinner at my grandmother's house with my cousins, my aunts and my uncles, which is very noisy, but it is a ton of fun. After eating dinner we often sing, dance and play a game.
