In 1973 or 74 I dated a guy who told me about this band who he'd seen at a Don Mills community centre and took me to see them play at a tavern on Yonge Street. It was RUSH. I also have a dear friend who played in a typical mediocre bar band while supplementing his income through a roofing job. A few years later him & 2 of his old friends got together and created KLAATU. It's so important that we support our Canadian talent.....no matter how good, bad or mediocre they are, as you never know what their future holds.

The Spoons played at my high-school back in the day. I was talking to a co-worker about about musical theater shows in Toronto. We had both went to see High-school Reunion starring Doug from the Slugs. It is so sad that we lost so many great musicians in Canada, especially lead singers. 😢
