You might not get it with an explanation, I will try... this an old one, it was big in the 1980s. With older songs sometimes people who enjoy them like to see who else is still listening to their favorite music and they'll post a date to the comments that might attract a community of commenters, if you'll allow the turn of phrase, to feel connected to fellow travelers. I hope this helps, or at least isn't met with 🤨. Just trying to help.
