What a wonderfully capable and insightful lady. She is totally deaf but does not make a big deal of it. She just 'cracks on'. Well done Emma.

Thankyou Nigel for this interesting interview. Baroness Nichols is a wonderful advocate for women and children and especially the family. Against exploitation and grooming of children and vulnerable women made even more vulnerable as a result of mixed sexed wards, trans in prison and the shutting down of dialogue between people of different opinions.

I think she's amazing. Totally deaf and poor eyesight at least in one eye. She speaks extremely well , very intelligent. Thank you.

Emma is fantastic in her steadfast support of womens rights and spaces against the trans ideology.

Talking pints should be twice as long as your guests are far too interesting for only 12 minutes! On the question of the House of Lords the solution to get a national forum would be to have a selected (or elected) individual from every county in the UK, chosen for their good works and not for any political views. In fact being a member of a political party (active or otherwise) should bar them from selection! This would be for a fixed term of a maximum of ten years with out exception!

I think my memory is not what it once was. I seem to remember a BBC Songs of Praise episode that was something to do with politicians, and I was convinced that this wonderful lady played the piano for one of the hymns. I had no idea about her deafness, so I may have got it wrong - not that deafness is any bar to music - Dame Evelyn Glennie springs to mind! Could anyone out there put me right???

On the second chamber you do have something different and the Lords/Aristocracy must be replaced. One should be 1st past the post and the other can be PR...imho. 1. You have to recognise the need for the constituencies to be fully self sufficient economic units. 2. You have to recognise the invididual electors are not the servants, but the peers. 3. You need to coordinate the constituencies where they must cooperate for mutual benefit. Both the economic demands of the commnuity/consitutency and the rights/freedoms of the individual must be respected, & neither sacrificed upon the altar of the other. How else do you inend to 'level up' ?
