They are so beautiful! As soon as my house sells in Pennsylvania, I’m setting down roots in Texas! God Bless Texas!

Do you know if the flowers are edible?
@BKsWildlifeWorld Жыл бұрын
Sorry I am not sure about that - but I do know they are pretty to look at. 🤣

They're safe for humans, but they're toxic to cats.

I have the Texas star hibiscus it’s growing good but the top leaves have started curling what does that mean am I not watering it enough how do I fix this
@BKsWildlifeWorld Жыл бұрын
I would make sure it’s getting plenty of sun, and water. It’s a plant that looks worse during heat of day but in morning and evening when sun and heat aren’t as intense it looks better. Definitely likes moist conditions but main sure it’s getting good drainage also.

@@BKsWildlifeWorld thank you so much for replying. I just created a new video showing my experience growing this plant from seeds. I was curious to try growing it from seed myself. 👍 Here is the link if you want to check it out. Thanks! kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnvQpZmnobpqmrM

What month do they start to grow back?
@BKsWildlifeWorld2 жыл бұрын
For me it’s usually in April. Once the temperatures start warming and you see green coming in on other plants in Spring the Texas Star won’t be far behind. Just remember it grows back from the ground, so be patient - and don’t look for new growth on old wood. Hope this helps! 🌺

Are they fast growing from seed? Do I need to soak the seeds before planting? A friend from Texas sent me some seeds. Thanks!

I'm only here because my plant is dieing away but I guess it's normal for the winter. December. 9. 24
@BKsWildlifeWorldАй бұрын
@@mr.gramirez It’s not dying. It’s going dominant. You will see. In winter it basically turns into a hollow stalk and makes you think it’s a goner…but in Spring when it warms up you will start seeing green coming back up from below the soil surface. 👍
