@@JPqbss for the years IFSA was present , it had the same prestige of which WSM has today. 28:28 notice how he only just mentions his KZbin channel here and he’s not saying “Oh guys go subscribe yada yada, he just politely asks”. Man Z is such a great guy since I’ve started following strongman he’s been my biggest inspiration in my training (more so powerlifting/bodybuilding), guys like Z, Shaw, Sigmusson, Shahlaei, are the reason I have the most respect for strongman over any other strength sport such humble and hardworking guys.

When judging who is the greatest the criteria I would use is: 1. overall titles 2. overall records 3. peak static numbers 4. longevity 5. cultural significance maybe i could create some kind of point system in excel based on these criteria and compare some of the top guys, however it would take ages and I suspect Big Z would have double the points of the nearest guy anyway.

@AA-tq7dm

@@beardedbjorn5520 In terms of overall points and titles, Thor isnt the best. But in terms of competiting at the highest standard yet, he's one of the three greatest strongman of all time with Big Z and Brian Shaw. Also, in terms of absolute strength all round at his peak, there's an argument he's the strongest man to ever live. But I agree completely without a doubt that Big Z is the greatest strongman of all time. Even Thor said the same in his interview with Loz.

Two of my idols...fierce yet humble. After recently turning 32, I've decided to get back into lifting after years off (for many reasons including drug addiction and other madness)... These guys show that it's never too late to get back at it if you do it right and get back at it at a high level...It's amazing how relevant they still are (Loz in his late 30's and especially Z being in his mid 40's and still being able to compete with the best)... Both of you guys deserve a much bigger following than many of the fools on social media with millions of followers...thank you.

It is so difficult for us normal humans to understand how incredibly difficult Strongman competitions are. The strains on the body created by the efforts required to complete the absolutely outrageous weights these guys are lifting or carrying is impossible to comprehend. I attempted a fireman carry with 70lb dumbbells for 10 meters down and back and my grip was toast at conclusion. I actually had 100lb dumbbells ready to go, and thought that the 70’s would be a good warmup. No way. And these are easily gripped, well balanced weights. These Strongmen deserve; better yet; they demand our respect.

I am from Lithuania and I MUST say right away, that more compliments and respect has to go to Mr. Big Loz for paying such a tribute for Žydrūnas. I don't want to offened any other atheletes, but there is no point to make videos with home conditions breaking world records, make boxing matches out of this or mentioning how old are you Nick and for Žydrūnas I also don't like mentioning his traumas, so for all strongmans I would like to wish look up to Mr. Loz. That's an ideal picture of how to carry legit name of strongman :) Fan of yours.
