I’m tired of pretending I care about anything other than the game this week. Work has been a major inconvenience to my Buckeye football obsession. At this point I’m too anxious to even enjoy thanksgiving!

With Josh Simmons going down against Oregon and losing Seth McLaughlin and the offensive line getting good play from the offensive line has to be a factor.

Fyre gets a lot of heat from Buckeyenation but you can't deny his development skills. Josh Simmons is probably the shining example of what Fyre can do to a player who cames from an undervalued program. I kept telling people all off-season to stop sleeping on Frye. Seth was a legitimate Remington finalist and Simmons (speedy recovery 🙏) was developed into a 1st round talent. The game in State College showed him and his family exactly what we could do and his family was impressed. Whatever the case I believe in his heart he wants to be a Buckeye.

Brady Edmunds is listed as 6’6” as a sophomore in high school. There has never been an elite quarterback 6’7” so I’m sure that is why Ohio State doesn’t want to commit to him at such an early stage of the process.

Regardless of why Sanders opened back up the communication, it must be a big reason. If they are willing to open it back up, then their is HIGH likelihood they want to switch.

Not bad at the de commits, learned from the A&M experiment that the purpose of recruiting is to build a team not an accumulation of talent. Get the right guys in with the right mentality and develop them, like Ohio st always had. We just say TTUN win a natty with a vastly inferior team. But they where close and understood their role. Ohio st can get that with way better talent so that’s what matter

Can't blame London Merritt for flipping because the writing's on the wall here when it comes to L.J. And it was the same with Justin Hill, another tweener like him who would get here and then get forced by L.J. to convert to being a hand-in-the dirt defensive end which neither are. That's what he did with Tyler Friday, another tweener Josh Mickens is also a tweener and an ideal fit at that Jack position that Knowles covets. Knowles has a definitive role for guys like that while L.J. doesn't. He continues to only get those SSDEs in that 6'3, 6'4" 250-60 lb range as opposed to the 6'5, 6'6" 235-250 lb rush ends like a Marquise Lightfoot from last year. Or Dylan Stewart. Look the reality is L.J. needs to retire period. He gets us in the door for many of the top defensive end and DT prospects but cant put us over the top. And there was no better example of this than two years ago when he lost out on all three top DE prospects. Now we have to deal with Ungulaeilei at Oregon because L..J. dropped the ball.

I have a really hard time justifying millions of dollars for a kid that hasn’t played a game in 2 years and is also skipping his senior year. So not only is he inexperienced but he’s also starting his clock early, while being under developed… I wish Stewart all the luck but… save the massive number for a guy that’s in the portal and already proven.
