I love that you've made this video 50 times. I really benefit from the dynamic repetition, thanks man. I'm putting together a playlist of them all for myself. Keep 'em coming!

Your advice is useful for me. I can see my improvement when I keep practising talking in front of the camera. Thank you so so much for your work!

I'm autistic and am finding it really hard to gain the confidence to do a video. I struggle with eye contact, processing my thoughts, using appropriate body language and generally knowing how to present my authentic self without freaking everyone out with my autistic traits. What advice would you give someone who is autistic and only just beginning to get to the point of shooting videos?

I haven't got any experience or knowledge in terms of helping autistic people unfortunately - but I can definitely say that if it's something you're drawn to, don't wait to build the confidence to talk to camera - instead, just need to do it. Progress in any skill comes from action, and it doesn't matter if the confidence is there or not. Confidence comes from experience, and the only way to get that, is to do the thing whilst you're still not confident.

I'd say: don't worry - looking into a camera lens is really different from keeping eye contact with a human being. Autistic people tend to be good performers *on stage* ; sounds weird, but it's true. It is completely different to perform well in a social situation or in front of cameras/an audience.. No matter what, a performer works with his/her personality. Actually you better show up with your traits, your own aura, style, sense of humor. No need to hide if you have a good message. I think your audience will appreciate that.

@@portal.creative Ok thank you for your encouragement. I have a few videos on my channel that I did ages ago and it's obvious how much confidence I lack. My set up is at my desk in a small corner of the lounge using my desktop computer and it's hard to be further away from the webcam due to a wall behind me. If you feel you have a moment to have a look, you will see what I mean. I'm open to suggestions to help me.

Thanks for some great points. I had not thought about adding hand gestures to my presentation but it seems it can make the video more exciting to help convey a personality on camera. The best takeaway is not take yourself too seriously if presenting tutorial style content for example. Adding some amusement with enthusiasm sounds like more fun for the viewer learning new content! Thanks for this!

This has been super helpful! We had been doing voiceovers and about to get back into talking head videos. Our next video will be using your tips for sure! Could you by chance make a video in the future about "two" people working on camera together or making content together? We found videos take a little longer as both creators try to get on the same page and have the same energy levels. Not sure if it makes sense.

Is the talk to camera boot camp better than the 30 day challenge course? Or are they both included in the 30 day challenge course, since it’s twice the price? Just looking for some clarification

Hey! Good question - the 30 Day Challenge is more complete in the sense that you're guided through 30 days of exercises, which build foundational talking to camera ability and communication skills. The 5 Day Bootcamp has different exercises and modules that are more focused on talking to camera specifically for youtube. I'd recommend taking the 30 Day Challenge and then following it up with the 5 Day Bootcamp :)

Tom... my deep research has lead me to the conclusion that one of the main reasons your view counts are struggling is the mustache. You look too 'leading man' (or other less positive alpha male attempt descriptors) rather than 'sidekick' or 'buddy' which is why most of the other guys' channels with similar content resonate. You're incongruent with your subject matter. Unless your target subscriber is 28-34y/o women (most 18-27 aren't down for the skinny jeans anymore). Try it out. Do a mustache A/B video test. Might take a while though.
