It's been an honor watching Weller's musical genius evolve over the past 33 years. The most wondrous thing is that The Jam songs are just as great as the new music: He's always been great, since the beginning. And he's still the coolest looking guy in the world.

@@spence7985 nope that's exactly what he was focusing on. McCartney's written some great songs and has his own mountain of work but he's half dick .. it seemed to increase with age, beatles went to his head. Everything Weller did in The Jam, the first 5 years of the Style Council, everything he did in the 90's and almost half the stuff since 2000 is brilliant, sometimes unbelievably so. After 2000 Weller's struggled I think, except with True Meanings which I'd class as a proper album again with it's own feel and at least half the songs on the record are truly great

@@theloniouscoltrane3778 Well you clearly haven't understood what's being said but since when did the lowest common denominator become the best? Who's 'everyone' anyway? I don't know if he's doing it on purpose, but Macca seems to keep name-dropping people. I've never really understood how Macca and Weller could get on, considering that most people can't name any new songs by Macca that are from the last twenty years, while Weller always seems to be evolving, although I'm a bit biased since I'm a massive Jam Fan rather than a Wings fam. That's just my opinion, and is in no way intended to offend Sir Paul McCartney or his fans.
