Talking with Children about Gun Violence

Good discussion. I recommend parents of youngsters read the book Protecting the Gift: Keeping Children and Teenagers Safe (and Parents Sane) by Gavin de Becker. It is a bit dated, but a great resource among other good resources. Although sensationalized on TV (for ratings), number-wise the chances of our children being involved in “gun” violence is very, very small. The chances of our children being involved in people violence / sexual abuse is far greater.
