I like the way you used 'plates' to separate into various pieces. I first decided to do that after 'the second time' I dropped my 5x5 and had to put it back together. The first time it dropped, I tried to put it back together like an idiot, without separating containers. Even with plates I imagine putting the Chaos Rhombic together is a bit of a nightmare.

They have grooves on them that hold them in place, a single piece on its own will fall out but multiple will structurally support each other
