I'm an engineering student set to graduate in 2022 from the University of Alberta (Canada). I would like to move to and work in Texas. Do you have any advice/incite on the best ways to make that happen?

@@AA-nq4ym didn't ask for advice on the major. The pay is great and there are enough jobs and more coming as older ones retire and oil isn't disappearing any time soon.

Hey I’m graduating in October 2020 with a bachelors degree in Petroleum Engg from India. I am planning to immigrate to Canada. How’s the market for new people according to your experience for new PEs.

@@syedinayathulla4951 There are opportunities here in Alberta, Canada, but it is very competitive. Good GPA, strong personality/soft skills, and previous work experience are essential to a lot of the opportunities available.

Thanks for the question. My best advice would be to track down some individuals who have done this very thing and ask them for their advice. I've actually had a few Canadians on my podcast. A good resource would be LinkedIn. I'm not sure what it takes for a Canadian to work in the US, honestly. If it requires sponsorship, it's probably going to make it harder, as the companies aren't going to want to pay the extra right now when there are thousands of US PE grads waiting at the gate. Not trying to discourage you. If working in Texas is your dream, then go for it! Best wishes!
