@talkingbasslessons7 жыл бұрын
What do you hate about my basses? lol The Fender Jazz is my main bass, the Ibanez is the one I use for the technical stuff. The Enfield isn't actually mine. That's a review copy I used for a few lessons. There's also the natural '82 Precision I use for a lot of the blues lessons. I've got others but just don't use them. So really, i'd say the Fender Jazz and Precision are my two main basses (they're the only ones I use for gigs). They're pretty normal, common instruments. Note: By the way, in terms of sound, build and pretty much everything else, the Enfield is actually light years ahead of any other bass I've played. I just need to save up for one!

i only watched the first few seconds where you showed the 'must know bass lick' and all i hear a major 9th. perhaps this is a beginner channel and thats great. but did you really take 20 minutes to play a power chord with a 9th? could've saved ya quite a bit of time to say adding a d to a C power chord. maybe im being harsh and the first power power chord and sliding to the 9th is not what the whoel video is about. i just had to stop watching after playing a power chord arpeggio and then say something about queen being the innovator of this. if im off the mark here, im fair to criticism but there are much better ways of explaining away major scales that go to the next octave then glamorizing it as some kind of must know secret. i think you would've been better off making a video about the importance of manipulating a major scale in different ways then this click bait.

Never give up on what you enjoy! I gave up playing for 10 years because the ex didn't want me to play. I've since started playing again too! Don't get discouraged or intimidated by the 3 and 9 yr. old prodigies here on YT HAHA it's all for the enjoyment of the instrument!
@silencedones4421 Жыл бұрын
@@thebigempty_5792 prodigy? There are absolutely no shortcuts at all. You must put in the time. Just because parents throw an instrument into their child's hands at 2 doesn't take the time away of practicing. If you don't truly have a desire to put the hours in then that person is just expecting to play like a pro in a delusional world.
