I taught in a junior school in a deprived area where there was no school uniform. A couple of times those 8 year old pupils were so proud of having to read out or show a piece of work at the school assembly that they wore shoes instead of trainers without being asked. The knew instinctively about respect and real pride. I’m 77 and retired but I still feel emotional remembering those times when a pupil struggling to learn achieved a breakthrough. Lammy has no sense of occasion. Just a mess.

I like her, too. VERY fetching and cheerful. She also has a soft side and promoted nutritional education, but was hounded down by the panel. She advocated for a dialogue about race relations on the last show she was on and got treated the same way. She has a big heart, you can tell.

My kids are 35 & 29. Both of them could cook and use the washing machine before they were 11. My sons girl friend who is the same age has no bloody clue cooking. My poor son works a heavy manual dog has to cone home from work and cook for the whole family of 6 ....her and her kids and the 2 they share. It annoys the crap out of me.

I am 57 and have not watched tv in years. I do however use my tv to watch KZbin. I also pay £20 a month to stop adverts on KZbin. I cant recall the lst time i watched terrestrial tv. And i know for certain the last time i watched bbc i lived in Grimsby..i moved feom there 10 years ago. So they can do what they want with adverts..the only people they harm are the channels who rely on them.

I cancelled my TV Licence DD a few days ago. Simple. Just complete the online form. I only used live to record Last of the Summer Wine on Drama channel. It’s all on KZbin. I never watch live broadcasts. With this one,eg, just wait until after it’s live to watch. I wish I’d ignored the threats of fines and prison and stopped paying years ago.
