Well let’s do a little maths. Say a weekly pension is £200 a week at the lowest rate. The minimum wage is £11 per hour. Let’s say a 37 hour week. So the minimum amount to live off by the government’s definition is £407 for a week. Why do they think a pensioner is rich when they have to live off half of that amount? Oh and at £200 a week there’s no pension credit or fuel allowance.

Look let's be honest. Sure, we do need to find a way to reduce our greenhouse gases... but... it needs to be a global effort. When you have countries like China pumping out more CO2 than ever, it doesn't matter what decent countries like the UK do. Does that mean we should bail? No. But, in the grand scheme of things, keeping our pensioners warm this winter (and let's hope it's a mild one) is more of a priority. Also, electric cars still use gas to produce the electric, it's just the fuel isn't taken at a pump. This labour government is going to punish the pensioners to make the previous government look like it was their fault. Don't get me wrong, I believe resident doctors (or junior as they have been known), nurses, teachers, etc, all deserve a decent wage. But how in the world can you justify a 22% pay increase over 2 years but tell pensioners they must find other ways of keeping warm this winter. Labour is going to do what labour always does... bankrupt the country, bring it to its knees, then sod off and let someone else sort it out. Sure, Fishy Rishy needed to go (after what he did to Boris), but labour is incompetent, and this new government is riding rough shot over us because they can. I give it maximum 18 months before Starmer is ousted in a coup by Rayner and Reeves, as they clearly have plans to run the country as far-left socialists, and Starmer is just their puppet, and the puppet that got them into power.

Who is this guy, same BS response, the triple lock rise in pensions MIGHT add £ 460, GROSS to my pension next year, except every pound of this £460 will now be taxed at 20% making this increase worth only £368, but Labour have just taken away £300 winter fuel allowance plus the fuel company is increasing my bills by approx 10% THIS YEAR which is about an additional £150 this year. Even before accounting for inflation this means I will be over £140 per year worse off under this new labour government while the hypocrites get £3,000 fuel allowance for their homes plus a minimum salary of £94,000 I don't even get a full state pension but I cannot get pension credit. How can they possibly justify this?

Gas prices would not be such an issue if we allowed our own citizens to drill UK gas for self sustainable instead of importing it via lpg from America. We can’t make steel anymore coz we’re not allowed to dig up coal to make it, so yet another basic we have to import at much higher prices and no jobs for the brits. This is not business or economic sense!
