American here. I have been watching Christo on KZbin for over a year whenever I can. He is a good presenter. I wish American presenters on both sides of the aisle were just as fair as he is.

You can learn to process trauma through a therapeutic process which is extremely helpful although research shows that it is not necessary to process trauma to live a constructive life. That said, no, you never recover from it to a point of being ‘at peace’ with it, where it no longer has any effect on you. Scars can heal but they remain deep within you.
