I really like how they edited some photos in the corner for reference to what the cast was talking bout.

Everyone. The fact that the video has about 15 minutes of black footage at the end was a mistake in editing. It was 3-4 AM when I noticed it and decided not to render the video again to remove it. This would've taken an extra hour. Please understand that I have a day job for which I have to show up at 8am, as this channel is a hobby/fanservice only. So I uploaded the video with the black ending to youtube (which takes another hour and more) and mentioned it in the video's description. So again, this was a mistake on my part and was not intentional at all. A viewer just told me that the basic tools on youtube itself allow for cutting up the video and removing parts. So when youtube finishes rendering that edit, everything will be ok. PS: for those wondering. Some youtubers add black footage at the end of their video to get to the 10 minute mark (youtube treats those videos differently). There is absolutely no difference between a 45 minute video and a 56 minute video. In fact, it's worse, since youtube sees people stop watching the video instead of watching til the end.

That pivotal Stunning Strike on Lorenzo from Beau is one of the crucial reasons why I’m now playing a monk in my weekly campaign that moment was SO GOOD! And I can also remember being in an overseas flight home and listening to that episode for the first time. I’m pretty sure the person sitting in front of me was slowly getting more and more pissy at me, because I was trying very hard not to squeal too much and kind of failing 😂

It only occurred to me after this whole deal that there were genuinely shippers who didn’t understand this. I have relationships I want to see develop, but it’s pretty obvious that Caleb has a lot of shit he needs to deal with before he’s in any shape to deal with other people’s shit, you know?

This is amazing! Thank you, guys, for recording for us Critters that couldn't be there. Also, if I may, I made a timestamp list for the questions in case someone wants to revisit this, which I know I will in the future. Obviously, major spoilers: 8:54 For Taliesin: What are you looking forward to in this campaign with Caduceus regarding both mechanically, like class features, and socially, like interactions with the M9? (Barry) 10:46 Marisha feels vindicated 11:32 For Matt: Did you have any abilities you wished Lorenzo could’ve used before he died? (Leah) 12:20 Oh. My. God. No. 13:50 For all: If VM went back to Lvl 5 and each cast member’s VM character fought their M9 character, who’d win? (Nevada? Did I hear that correctly?) 16:30 For all: What’s the difference in feeling between slow burn vengeance and instant gratification revenge? (couldn’t tell the name) 18:15 For Liam: Is there a book from our world that you think Caleb would recommend? (Robin) 19:17 For the Emmy award winning Sam Riegel: How did you explain that outfit to your wife? (couldn’t tell the name here either) 22:23 For Marisha: Is there any spell that you wish you’d get a chance to cast as Keyleth? (didn’t say the name I believe) 24:28 A Q from Brian: How often does role-play come into the spells you choose? 25:26 For all: What class would you be in real life? (Sun Tree) 26:48 For all: Any specific anecdote/moment that stands out regarding the live show’s outfits? (Yasmeen) 30:20 Molly, the Coulson of Exandria 31:43 For Liam: Is there a reason Caleb cares more about his cat than his friends? (Anna) [due to the “You shouldn’t have killed my cat”] 34:20 For Matt: Was the first Vecna battle close to ending it there? (Jen) 37:30 For Matt: What NPC would you like to see cosplayed that hasn’t been cosplayed? (didn’t say the name I believe) 39:50 Mini Snitch for a mini Percy 40:45 For Marisha and Liam: What would your backup character have been given the difficulty of the Lorenzo fight? (Scott)

KZbin can do auto generated captions, just select auto generated from the caption settings menu. Though it does have some wierd ideas what people say.
@Dragonivon6 жыл бұрын
I'm well aware (I always watch with captions when I can), though auto-generated captions depend on what the computer can interpret as words. Very frequently, especially in a video where the sound quality is full of reverb, it either misreads it or doesn't register as anything at all. It does help sometimes, but cannot replace manually input captions in terms of clarity.

Taliesin and Sam certainly stood out in this session, bringing a lot of energy and humor to the discussion. And of course, we cannot forget about the master of ceremonies, Brian, who asked interesting questions and helped keep the conversation flowing. It is wonderful to see that even after 4 years, this content still manages to entertain and delight people. It is a testament to the lasting impact that Critical Role has on the nerd community and the RPG world at large. Congratulations to the Critical Role team and the fans who made this event possible. I always thought she was rather funny, but I was also often annoyed by Keyleth which ruined the overall impression. @godaidgo6 жыл бұрын
Much disappointment in this. The camera cut out and that sucks but you have 15+ minutes of black screen just to make it so the time stamp looks like it includes the full panel. -- And you were all but demanding an answer out of @erikaishii to use some of her footage for what I assume is another video down the road. I know what you do is not easy but anything worth doing is worth doing right and neither of those feel right.
@CriticalScope6 жыл бұрын
1. I have edited this panel until 4 am and I need to be at a customer at 8 am! I really wanted everyone to have this panel as soon as possible so when I saw the edit was longer than what it was supposed to be I decided against waiting another hour to re-render it (and the reason it was longer was because I used a project file from a previous, longer video and the sequence out was not adjusted) 2. I say it in the description that it’s not a full panel. I added titles into the edit to explain why we don’t have the full panel and I even tweeted it out 3. The Erika Ishii video is hidden and has a link TO HER TWITCH for the full version, because I only used a small part of it. 4. I spend hours every day just for the community So please, please don’t look for conspiracy theories and mischievous plans behind everything
@godaidgo6 жыл бұрын
1. There is always a reason 2. The description says its not a full panel but that doesn't lead me to believe there will be 15min of dead air at the end. The first blip with the pictures of Liam is great... and then at the end you roll credits and just leave it. 3. I am not Erika and maybe she was fine with it. I don't need to be defending people who don't need it so I apologize for bringing that up. 4. As somebody who has self produced on both Twitch and KZbin I understand the time that goes into this. I generally enjoy your videos which is why I am a subscriber. This is criticism about the video and something else I should not have commented on. You can take it or leave it. I did not suggest any conspiracy theory and only talked spoke to things that were verifiable. I hope you continue to produce videos for the Critical Role community. I hope you take all forms of criticism and apply it or don't. It's your channel. I genuinely hope you have a good day and (not that you have any reason to ask) but if you ever need assistance with something I am here to help if I can.
@CriticalScope6 жыл бұрын
I don’t mind the criticism at all. The fact that there’s 15 minutes of dead air is correct. However I don’t like your conclusion (and your conclusion can’t be categorized as criticism). You say it is because the panel would then appear to be 1 hour and that I’ve done it to trick people into thinking it’s a full panel. This can’t be further from the truth. The dead air is because I forgot to adjust where the video would end. It was just a mistake of mine, that’s all. Nothing more. I saw this mistake after rendering the video for an hour. By that time it was already 3h30 in the morning and I chose not to render the movie all over again, but instead upload it with the dead air. I made sure to write into the description that it was a mistake. Again, if I wanted the video to last for an hour for any reason at all, I could’ve added Erika ishii’s footage or other footage or even some music with some text to it. I didn’t because the dead air was simply an editing mistake. That’s all You can keep posting criticism. I don’t mind it and it can be very helpful sometimes. I always try to look at it and see if there’s something I can do better. Just... don’t draw conclusions out of it. If you ask me why I did something, I will answer honestly. My goal here is to share the panels with the critters and I spend a lot of time and sanity doing so :-) Thank you for your offer. I’ll keep it in mind. Ps: sorry I might have sounded harsh before, but I was running on very little sleep and just finished a lot of work on the panel. I was not in the best state of mind
@parkerbrantley43566 жыл бұрын
Love you guys! But why did the video have to look like it was an hour long? I get that there were technical issues, but it seems a bit scummy to make it seem like the video was longer just to get the add revenue. Please don’t pad the video out again
@CriticalScope6 жыл бұрын
You can read in the description and in the comments that the longer video was a mistake on my part. I uploaded it because I wanted to get the panel to everyone ASAP and it was 4 am (had to be at a customer at 8 am), so I decided against waiting another hour to re-render the panel. Please don’t jump to conclusions and call it scummy. FYI there is no difference between 45 min and 60 minute panels concerning ad revenue and/or KZbin’s algorithms. In fact, it’s worse because people stop watching so KZbin sees people aren’t watching till the end. I’m gonna try and edit the end out using KZbin’s internal tools (this was suggested by someone in the comments of this video), but I was still at work before.
