I have always wondered how Katie has dealt & handled seemingly so well being so far away from her family. I would think with Travis' music career it would be so much better & a huge advantage to live in Tennessee. I really hope they return there to live & make Tennessee home for many reasons.

@@CoBeau29I agree that there could be an advantage to Tenn. for Travis’ music career, but I think Travis’ parents are a huge reason to stay in NJ. They have so much time to devote to Haley. Also Evan and Carlin have said that they live only a few minutes from the Bates but hardly ever see them because Kathy and Gil have so much going on. But at the same time if Travis and Katie did move they would be close to Evan and Carlin, which would be great. I would just feel bad for Travis’ parents.

I am routing for Travis's parents who spent a lot of money to convert their dining area into a baby play room. Plus, Travis is in a musical business with his family which would make it hard for him to live in Tennessee. Katie will grow up soon and be like Alyssa in Florida.

Live in NJ in the summer and Tennessee in the winter. It’s okay to be a snow bird at a young age. Spending time with both families equally. Especially if you can work remotely. Rent in Tennessee for a season to see if it would work…Really, it would be the Best of both worlds!! Great vlog…you can feel the love!❤

I live in East TN with my family. We moved from NC last year. It is so expensive. Our bills have tripled since we moved here.

@@momofmany8117 unfortunately, what we found is that a lot of the problem is coming from internal migration from the north and west coast where houses sell for A LOT more. People migrate to TN and it drives housing costs up because they can outbid the “natives” every time. Middle TN is even worse.

And here I thought that Tennessee was alot Cheaper than Texas!!! Lol !! I also wanted to move to North Carolina !! Here in TX. We have so many flooding into our State from California and New York !! Our homes used to cost 230,000 - a million. Now Our homes have shot up to about 400,000 !!!😮 😢

My husband is a real estate agent and he says the same thing. The houses aren't even worth the price they are selling for. All of the people moving here are driving up the prices. When we lived in NC, it wasn't as expensive. I really liked living there. But God moved us to TN.

I totally get your dilemma. My husband is from the Midwest and I’m from the south. We moved back and forth between families many times during our 30 years of marriage but we ended up in the Midwest once our kids hit teenager years. They are beginning to settle here now. You are blessed to have a job that seems to let you travel and you have wonderful grandparents on both sides. I know the Lord will lead you. I love the new sweatshirts. You did a great job on them.

Katie has been such an encouragement to me especially because we’re walking similar journeys🥰 I married my love a year and a half ago and we’re 4hrs away from my family. I get homesick often and I don’t want to think about it because it makes me cry so then I become really depressed without realizing it. When I start acting depressed my husband tells me it’s time to take me home for a weekend and that it’s okay to cry. After going I’m usually content for the next 2 months and then the cycle starts over again 😂 The first few months of marriage I was watching one of their vlogs and it helped me not to feel so alone in this journey🩵 Y’all are doing great! Beautiful song, and if y’all sell sweatshirts instead of hoodies I’m buying 3 for me and my husband😁

Yes your Mom Katie is the great supporter. I do think spending that much time with family more than usual is making you homesick and that is understandable. The closeness with mom & Dad and some siblings makes it a bitter sweet time. Consider that you will both pray and seek what God has. Be open to His will and guys that takes the pressure off of you. Travis, how soon before your hoodies will be available for sale? My eldest sister is battling stage 4 pancreatic and lung cancer. I would love to buy 2 women's large hoodies in cream and navy if possible as soon as possible. She was given til the end of the year, but we're praying and asking God for more time for and with her. I totally understand the emotional homesickness! I love where I live, but I moved to my husbands hometown when we got married 14 years ago and I do miss where I grew up and where my family lives. It's so wise to be cautious about waiting on God's timing, though. I've prayed for years to be able ti o move back to my hometown and God has never given us peace about it-but he does give peace in the place you are supposed to be even if the homesickness is still there. The sweet times together visiting are such a blessing!
