One trick I've always used for my dogs when potty training is putting a strand of bells on the doorknob. When you take them outside, jingle the bells. they will catch on and start nosing the bells when they need to go out, then they will get to the point where they just wait at the door for you.

Oh yes we have a potty bell mounted to the wall at their level.

I dont know what made me laugh more.....Charlie and his toy or you telling the story of your co-worker. You definitely have to be a planner person to understand the way our minds work 🤣🤣 I'm with you on the staying at home rather than be out partying, those days are long gone, thank goodness!! Wow! Thanks for sharing that view of your icy cold weather! Living in Southern California my entire life I have no clue what it feels like dealing with snow and ice. I went to our local mountains once years ago and did not like being in the snow and falling and being cold and wet. It is beautiful to see but that is about it.

I moved from LA to Iowa about 3 years ago and I love it. I experienced rain the 1st 6 months here than I did in LA for almost 40 years 😂. It’s a challenge getting used to the weather but I love it. 😊

I, too, have a Charlie. My Charlie is a Yorkie he will be 9 on Dec 20. We love him to pieces and have never been able to fully potty train him. He potties outside we come in, and he still lifts his leg! We have had many dogs over the years, and at present, we have a Yorkie, a Pomeranian, and an Australian Shepherd. Charlie is our only dog we couldn't stop. For you, I hope it's not in the name. Lol. When my frustration gets the best of me, I put a belly band on him. I tell him it's a good thing he is so cute n cuddly. I tell you this for the love we have of these furry critters has no end. I wish you get success in your potty training adventure. ❤

Olive and June and learned about them from roroandlu and they are high quality for sure! I buy Them at Walmart and target carries the brand too. They are NOT expensive either.
