It’s only this season that fans have started to criticise him, and that’s after 18 months of mediocrity (or worse) game after game. His performances have disrupted the flow and momentum of the players around him on the pitch. Of course, he’s not the only one, but Rashford demanded a world-class pay package, so he should be held to the same high standards. Younger players in the squad, as well as senior members, will inevitably look at him, compare themselves to him, and potentially start demanding or behaving in a similar way. Why would other players in the same squad keep putting in the work for a third or half of his wages? It ruins the mojo of the entire dressing room. Ultimately, only Marcus is responsible for this situation, and only Marcus can fix it
