@@andypandy4607 Yes. Because it's been sad to see a Legend of our club struggle because of what's happened behind the scenes stuff, that had been going on. You could see the writing was on the wall, but even when we are not playing well we'd had hoped for him to be given more time to turn it around because of what he's done for our club. With Lampard's appointment and new coaching staff. I find it a refreshing restart and carry on with the foundations that Robins built.

Put a new manager in charge just before you face the top 2 sides in the league? What so the fickle so called fans can heckle him straight away if it goes wrong? That would immediately have a negative affect on morale. Far better to ease him into it imo.

Ex English players that go in coaching are arrogant. They don’t put in the work to learn their trade and just jump into management. Look in Spain. Germany and other places. They spend years as assistants, then coach youth level before stepping up. Need to learn their trade. The young English managers doing okay spent time coaching before stepping up. Mckenna. Carrick etc

Lampard has qualified for the Champions League, won a Champions League group, and survived relegation with a side that was worthy of going down, why are people comparing him to Rooney, the reality is he has a much better resume coaching than any of the other English ex player managers from his generation, it's mostly just narratives surrounding him, he will do a great job at Coventry.

@@manofthenorth6372 The owner has stated that he would rather have committed players on the books and not have to play loan players for the sake of it. Loan contracts have inbuilt agreements that the player has to play so much time per month etc. Seems the owner and recruitment team spend time looking for players that fit a certain criteria psychologically, we have some sports science woman heading the department and the owner seems to have the money to buy and develop players. Look at our recent buy Norman Bassette, he is terrifying defences at the moment.
