Exactly.. fair play slot so far but it's far far too early and to be honest yesterday performance was as bad if not worse than forrest loss only wolves were so terrible they couldn't take advantage

Liverpool are yet to play a single game against City, Arsenal, Chelsea or Villa. Other than Liverpool themselves, these are the actual top 4 teams to beat this season, not United. So, they still have these 8 tough games against very good sides still to be played. We can only judge them when they have played all these side atleast once this season. I think by Feb-March, Slot & Liverpool fans both would be happy with top 4 finish for his first season.

klopp is overrated tho. in fact, he is actually a flop.. not a legend. bottled so many big games with a massive squad. only 1 UCL (bottled 2 finals vs real madrid) bottled the UEL vs sevilla only 1 PL (bottled 2 seasons vs city by 1 point), even in the 1 PL win, klopp bottled a potentially record-breaking points total or centurion or invincible season. 99pts season breaking 0 records despite W26 D1 L0 at one point, what a bottlejob.. also failed to consistently qualify for the champions league could have easily won 3 UCL, 3 PL, and 1 UEL but only ended up with 1 UCL and 1 PL. he could have been more than 3x more successful than he was but bottled it. so stop overrating this bottler jurgen flopp

Under Slot, if Liverpool is a goal down early, the team doesn't panic. Just pull your socks up and start again. Many Liverpool fans prefer this, than the chaos, which was great, but man it wears you out eventually. Just ask Klopp.

@@Lee-fc3yf I've been a Liverpool supporter since 1980. Klopp's philosophy boiled down to out-scoring the opposition. There was a consistent pattern in Liverpool conceding early goals. Last season it was rare for the team to be able to gear down in the last 15 to 20 minutes. They had to keep playing to the 90 minutes to take the lead, or get a two goal cushion, or even equalise. Klopp never really sorted out the defence and too many goals were conceded with defenders out of position. It was frequently calculated chaos and playing the odds. If you disagree with a comment here, then present an actual argument and not just having a go at the commenter.

The quality is always there to get a goal at any point. With Klopp, in our dominating games we stun the opponent with speed and intensity. Under Slot, it looks like we can constrict opponents outside of a high press as well. A good continuation of what Klopp built.

The difference is… yesterday the irreplaceable Klopp’s team would have kept flying forward for the 3rd goal. Slot is a bit more measured. It was better for the heartbeat that’s for sure. Seamless transition. We had to trust the people who brought Klopp in to get us someone to continue the legacy. They’ve done well.

I do think there’s some more control compared to the last year or two of Klopp’s reign, but so many of these pundits forget how solid Klopp’s prime team was between 2018 and 2020. 97 and 99 points. You can’t get those totals being “chaotic”.

Absolutely agree, it’s really beginning to annoy me. I wonder which iteration of Klopp’s team they’re referring to? When Klopp had a workmanlike midfield, our football was controlled, but we pressured and dominated teams. In fact, I clearly remember us winning the Club World Cup, returning to England, and without a break, destroying Leicester City. Both Van Dijk and, if I remember correctly, Gomez were just passing the ball between each other to close the game down. Gary Neville was full of praise because, like many in the media, he stated that we were playing the best football around. It was exciting, full of energy and quality, yet controlled. Things only went downhill once the team began to age, as the style of football we played required legs-youthful players. So I’m sick and tired of people trying to rewrite history.

I'm a Liverpool fan. Man City & Arsenal are out of the race. The main threat is Chelsea. After them Aston Villa and Newcastle. Man City and Arsenal are not convincing. Man City are too reliant on Haaland. If he gets injured they are out and I think they are nervous about this. They've run out of steam. Arsenal are too predictable.

Arsenal have had chances to win the title last 2 seasons so, times up for arsenal and even if their fans are deluded to believe that they are going to win the title. So those teams that were under the radar, like Liverpool, villa, Chelsea are now going to be the official title contenders for this season.

The truth of the matter is there's hardly no difference. Liverpool was awful against Ipswich and Brentford in the 1st half's,awful against man utd till the 40th minute then utd gifted Liverpool a goal then the game. Awful against forest and awful against wolves. The results are glossing over the performances, Seriously people need to watch and study the games before shooting off at the mouth.

As an LFC fan these unwanted comparisons come from outside of the fanbase, and are laughable at best. The sources are (Cascarino apart) the same diaspora who suggested Liverpool were instant relegation fodder the day Klopp left his desk. These "comparisons" need to come when Slot is chasing QUADs season in season out and has won everything there is to win in the game. Until that point you'd do better to debate the likes of Edwards & Hughes and just how brilliant they are at their jobs without spending a thing in relative terms obtaining the man "nobody has ever heard of" (Roy Keane) and sitting pretty

Injuries may play a part in who wins the PL. City are without 4 first team😊 players: Ake, Bobb, de Bruyne and Rodri. Liverpool are only missing Harvey Elliot. If they get hit with injuries to key players they may start to struggle

@@sukhjotesingh9613 I don’t get that. Last week the ref called Walker over and then let Arsenal take a free kick from the wrong place and without letting Walker to get back to his position. Yesterday’s penalty was debatable. Last season against Liverpool, City had a goal disallowed for a push on Allison. Minimal contact and nothing like the way Arsenal impinge keepers. Having said all that, I think City will struggle this season with no backup for Haaland and Rodri.

@@86Brasco Bobb would definitely have been first team and he’s a great loss. He played very well in pre-season and was the main reason City didn’t replace Alvarez. City were without KDB for 7 months and Haaland for 3 months. I can’t help feeling there are more and more injuries affecting every team now
