Our Rating System:
We are both firm believers that it is unjust to review and rate an album after only hearing it one or two times therefore our method for reviews is much different than everyone else on KZbin.
Our review process starts off with a "listening session" where we hear the entire album from beginning to end, uninterrupted. We then post a video with our initial thoughts and opinions of the album. Over the course of a week we will each listen to the album as many times as we can, analyzing and critiquing it. Then at the end of the week we will post our full and final review of the album which will include our ratings.
Our scoring method is unique to this channel as well. We each rate the album out of 10 but anything 8 and above simply just gets our Toe Tag. In order for an album to make it onto the list above it must receive Two Toe Tags. It if only gets one or none then it does not make our coveted list.
Any album that receives Two Toe Tags is considered a top quality album of elite status and highly recommended by both of us. Be sure to Subscribe and turn on Notifications so you will always be in the loop with all the awesome metal we review!
NOTICE: This is not a news/info channel. We are not a KZbin version of Wikipedia for the bands that we discuss. There will be some videos, especially Reactions, where we get some facts or information wrong. Please understand that our purpose is simply to react to the video and not to spread knowledge about the band. We have not, nor will we ever state incorrect facts. If we are unsure of things we will be clear that we are unsure and by all means, feel free to correct us in the comments below.
Anyone who fails to understand what this channel is about and proceeds to troll our videos with nonsensical remarks will be removed from the channel. This means that any comments you post will be blocked from us and potentially to all other users as well.
We welcome constructive criticism and corrections on facts/information, just please be polite and courteous about it.

Really cool first impression, boys! I am actually stoked to hear your thoughts a week from now. Thank you for dissecting the tracks so much and picking out what you liked and disliked. It is always easy for people to give their opinion, but when they can explain WHY they feel the way they feel, it gives so much insight and positive feedback. Really appreciate the criticism/review and are glad you lads enjoyed Matriphagy

In this day and age, and the older we all get... music is going to always sound more and more like things we've heard before in the past. All we can do is appreciate the way musicians put their spin on it, or their take on certain elements.

The instrumentation alone can easily resemble some of the classic nu-metal bands like Korn, Slipknot etc. but the vocalist has a way of putting everything under a new perspective. His vocals are amazingly versatile, fierce and could even be placed on a deathcore track! I absolutely loved this album, as a person who grew up to Linkin Park and later on to heavier 00's metal.

After a couple of spins I stopped comparing and just enjoyed the music. And I think the varied vocals and horror movie esque concept are unique enough to set them apart from their obvious influences.

I remember watching the vocalists’ vocal cover videos when he was called Amnaeon, the nu Metal vocalist who dyes his hair every week. 😄 I liked the singles. I’ll check out the album today.

It can be a little derivative, but it’s also very good, IMO. I think the vocalist is very unique, he melds different styles and I don’t think he tries to sound like anyone in particular despite the obvious influences. They have SUPER heavy and catchy riffs but the synth tones and the turntables are what sounded the most derivative to me.

All the things Vileself is complaining about are positives for me. The storyline alone sells it.. There are so many elements to this music and they're layered/ mixed in such a unique way.

I def feel the same way with “huh it sounds like this or that”, but I love it. I feel like this is what Metal needs in 2020. Everything sounds so same-y now days and these guys almost have their own unique sound even thought it’s a nod to the past. I’m sure these guys will carve out their sound as time goes on. Metal needs to be influenced by different things to survive.

Reminded me of the first time I heard Mudvayne LD50, completely chaotic and all over the place but still fluid ... I absolutely loved this album and yes I was and still am a nu-metal freak, right now I'd give it a 9 for sure 🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥

I listened to this a few days ago at work and I heard a lot of Korn, Mudvayne and early Limp Bizkit influence. While it's decent; IMO, it's got nothing on the new Deftones album, Ohms.
