Justin and band, I wanted to say thank you. Last year, I got out of a 6 year relationship that also cost me my daughter. I wanted to give up so many times over the following months as I lived alone for the first time in my life, I had no friends nor companions to lean on. It was just me and my pain. Music became my solace and my motivator. The band Zeal and Ardor got me through the immediate pain, but your one takes were the turning point to me getting better. Your expressive performance made me think that I needed to express myself more. Your nu metal sound stirred up my inner child because it reminded me of the slipknot albums I'd listen to when I was far younger. Lyrically I felt like I'd found someone who understood an unavoidable pain, it made me like I wasn't secluded, shut away under lock and key in my own head space. As someone who was desperately seeking any thing to not feel confined to my both physical and mental states, you had become the inspiration and sigil in which I leaned on to finally progress. Now I stream on twitch, I have more friends than I ever had before, I still see my daughter regularly, I'm starting a new relationship and my life is feeling so much better. So again, from the absolute bottom of my soul, Thank you guys.
