However the city has known a strong urban development to become the second most populus area in the US. Hi everyone and welcome to another episode of „tallest building of their time“. Today we are going to explore the history of the tallest buildings of Los Angeles. What were the most iconic towers in the Los Angeles skyline? Lets find out now !

The worst part about the Wilshire tower is that the spire looks worse than the antennas on the Willis tower and John hancock towers in Chicago, yet the antennas don’t count towards height for them but the spire on the Wilshire does

Wilshire Grand Center is still the tallest even though the antennas are movable, buildings can be movable also by demolishing so it still counts.

Wilshire cheated.It's not valid with that needle.Despite with experts said,the true height is reached on the terrace or in the roof.

LA was supposed to have 3 towers much taller than US Bank. Trump tower LA (1990) LA megastructure and 9th at figueroa

I like both Wilshire Grand and US bank tower but I am still waiting for LA get a building between 1200 and 1400 feet. But of course the mountain range (backdrop for the skyline) towers from over 6000 to over 10,000 feet which is taller than all of the skyscrapers on the planet by far dwarfing Burj Dubai and the tallest in saudi arabia.

Library Tower is still the tallest. A stupid clamp-on spire doesn’t count. Wilshire Grand has a “flat roof”, the helipad is just cleverly masked by the sail.

I have always been an architecture buff since I was very young and couldn't wait to visit New York as a kid. After watching your Los Angeles video, their early 20th century buildings look very similar to the Houston early 20th century ones. Anyway, again I look forward to seeing it and you do great work! Very enjoyable, I could watch for hours!

I got the music from a datenbank available with the editing software. I used Powerdirector. The problem I cant find the name of the compositor. But the name of the songs are "and i tell you", "always wanna fly" and "best trip ever"

First Interstate world Center is the tallest building and second tallest building was also owned by First interstate bank

this video falls short did not discuss what was built between 1974 and 1989 and then skipped between 1989 and 2017. thumbs down. Also did not research because the buildings were built and known as different names like failing to mention the city national towers were the Arco Towers. This is the epitome of attention to details by a millennial

Oh God ... its actually the whole point of my videos to not present everything that was built in LA but only the buildings that broke the height record at the time of their completion. I though this was quite obvious though 🙄
