Tallinn White Nights - First Day in Estonia

That soviet truck is a form of protest, there because the land it stands were returned to pre-war owners of houses which were bombed to smithereens during WW2, but the city of Tallinn didn't allow later to rebuild these houses, or anything, in that place. So landowners decided ah, fck it, we'll park that random soviet crap there. I think in some years back they also had a potato patch there, just to screw the city planners and -politicians.

Ah, good to finally get an explanation, as I could find nothing online as to the reason why it was there, other than some pictures of the same model of truck (obviously not the same one). Just seemed very odd. I knew of the houses being bombed there, but wasn't aware of the other quirkier related history. Become a sort of jungle-gym for the kids now, it seems. Thank you.

This was shot back in July, so not sure what it's like there now - may still be nice?! It was hot and sunny for most of my time there, though.

Around 15-20C now, I'm still in t-shirts and shorts mostly.
