Thank you so much! I'm so proud that Carmen Miranda and I are both brazilians :) (I know she was born in Portugal, but she considered herself brazilian)

"The Big Show" radio show was the longest running (at 90 minutes in length) every Sunday evening from 1950 until 1952, a total of 57 episodes. It was critically acclaimed and the most expensive show ever to air during the Golden Age of Radio costing over $200,000.00 each episode and that was in 1950's money! Every major entertainer that was just about known in the World was on "The Big Show". An amazing show and truly went out with a "BANG" on radio with the advent of television. Although it was successful in its' own way (and a delight to listen to these days), radio was on the decline due to the new medium of television and no radio program could competitively compete as the final days of vintage radio was about to end.

Awesome. To complete opposites but two of my favorite women of the era. Carmen Miranda was a classy and extremely beautiful woman. Tallulah, very funny and classy but her morals...good thing she lived in the era she did. I've always thought there was more to her life behind the scenes than we know; based on the family she was born into.

I'm surprised they got Rex Harrison in on the fun. He was a good actor but as a person, he was a pill. What Hollywood did to Carmen Miranda is still awful all these years later, But there was no denying her talent and star power,
