Stock items are the primary inventory entity, like Ledgers. Usually it means Item or Product, which can be buying, selling or issue for production purpose.

HOw can i do purchases by Stock Group not Item. So i can sell multiple items like Oil from that Group and total Oil in liters are deducted from Stock gROUP FROM THE PURCHASE AND by each item UNDER THAT GROUP. Item's stock balance is not Important FOR ME but Stock Group is, for this Process kindly help me on this one

hello is there any option in tally to record purchase of inventory (for future sales) directly in stock in hand (current asset), rather than in purchase ledge (profit and loss a/c)? My understanding is that inventory purchased is a current asset until we sell it, when it will be moved to cost of sales(income statement a/c). But as long as inventory is held in store, it is current asset. I have tried to create separate ledger in the current asset group in the name 'inventory'. But in the list of a/c this inventoyr is shown under sundry debtor automatically!. can anyone explain this plss??
