1 Peter 3:15 "always be ready to give a defense of the faith that is in you.” So, please clarify this CONTRADICTION in the Bible: The Bible says in Exodus 20: 5 that God shall punish upto 4th generations for the sins of the father, this contradicts Ezekiel 18:20 which says a child shall not die for the sins of his father. Look at the following: EXODUS 20: 5 "You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me" EZEKIEL 18: 20 "The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child..."
