God bless you for taking time to show a basic application of the Talon rubber grips. I’m sure a ton of folks will appreciate what did to help them. Just my opinion….I’ve been installing the Talon since they were introduced to the market and have installed over 40 sets as a courtesy free of charge for Family, friends, friends of friends and the word just got out so I can honestly say I’m very good at it…..not the best but I’m sure among them. Tips: 1. Don’t just use the alcohol pad in the kit because it is not enough to throughly clean the oils (gun, skin, shipping and other dirt’s). Get cotton makeup remover rounds and 70% isopropyl alcohol and throughly clean the grip (it’s very important for a truly proper application). 2. Install an empty magazine to help when applying pressure to close the gaps and get the best lay down of the Talon material when you perform the wrap around underlayment. 3. Do use a hair dryer to heat the material until it become workable with your fingers, (be patient, be very careful cause the surface will be very hot! So take your time and just slowly work your way around the grip). This is very important for seaming the the overlay as flat as it can be and for closing the gaps on the back strap. 4. Allow the lower to cool naturally for at least an hour before removing the magazine to prevent any possible errors. That’s it….you’re done! The grip will look like there natural to the gun and they will perform well for years under EDC use. Thank you again for taking your time to share with others. We all appreciate what you are doing. Looks great. So the rubberized version is less abrasive but yet still gives grip enhancement when sweating or wet? I read you live in a very hot part of the State of Texas. Also I wanted to know whether or not these grips are easy to remove after a month, 6 months, a year or two? In case I decide later to go another route.

Yes they are great still. They are better then the rough ones in my opinion

SDW you should it’s a cheap way to enhance the grip and I’m loving it. I chose the rubberized vs granulated because I carry it and live in Texas 🔥🔥so I don’t wear under shirts often too hot and I didn’t want the rough grip version rubbing against my skin. I am about to take this gun to get cerakoted so I’ll actually have to buy a new set of talon grips for it after

TheRussLee bro that is awesome. That is the route I was wanting to go as well. Just wasn’t sure of the effect since ive never used rubberized talon grips before. But from what u r saying, I am liking it a lot. I actually just watched a video of a guy putting one on his 43x just now on youtube. This is the route I will go. That enhanced grip feel has to be awesome. And I am not big on the granulated plastic feel. Idk my hands just don’t grip it. I took a rd trip last month to Texas man! Carrollton Texas. Been thinking about moving there...

Man I saw these cerakote G43x slides on gunbroker. They are ported. Im not sure how I feel about them but they look very very sharp. How do u feel about a ported slide on a edc like the 43x?

SDW no I’m very south Texas right on gulf. I have no issues with ported slide, my Glock 19 is ported and I carry it also from time to time

Why did you butcher the grip? It installs perfectly if you start dead center in the back of the grip and work you're way one side at a time. Why you would want all those seams is beyond me.
