Gulyabani was written by Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar in 1913. It is the first horror literature work written in a modern structure. But if we look at the written and oral&folk literature of the Turks, it is not the first fear content. Especially in Turkish mythology, there are all kinds of terrifying creatures that exist. For example, if we compare it with Greek mythology, Turkish mythology seems to consist entirely of monsters (but we can't be sure of this, as sources are scarce) (in fact, the only common character in Turkish and Greek mythology is a wolf-headed human-like invading creature I mean we are talking about monsters again) There is also a ghoul (Gulyabani) in Turkish mythology. The ghoul is a giant who eats people who roam alone in the forest at night. The movie in the section you watched in the video is the 1976 movie called Ghoul(Gulyabani), an adaptation of this book. I read the book and watched the movie, it's not very similar to the book, only the end is the same. The book is horrifying compared to the movie, but everyone loves both. I think you will like it if you watch the whole movie.

The actors explained that they shot the film in a very short time because they knew it by heart. This movie has it all. Love, horror, comedy, adventure, detective story…🙂

Hi Armando. This movie is a little hard to understand because you don't know your head. Let me tell you briefly. Şaban and Ramazan are sailors on the same ship and Hüsamettin is the new commander of the ship. Şaban receives a letter from his foster mother (like your godmother), whom he has not seen for years, and reads Ramazan because he cannot read.

A picture comes out of the letter, which is Şaban's foster sister (the godmother's daughter) and Ramazan falls in love with the girl when he sees the picture and goes home to see the girl in the guise of Şaban.

but he comes to Şaban because the plow is naive and he gets into trouble with the officers who catch the fugitive soldiers on the street. Meanwhile, the commander's godmother's brother comes out.
