The middle part sounds like something from the oldtime classical composers, such as Händel with his Passacaglia from Suite No 7 for harpsichord.

Starting in bar 64 (2:20) in the bass it directly - and very cleverly! - quotes about 9 measures of the fugue from the first movement of Bach's c-minor Partita (for keyboard) - transcribed down a minor third.
